back to early morning training

I need to get back to this. Little one woke up at 4 so I just stayed up after putting her back down. Almost done workout now. Feeling great and still have time to go on a long walk before work starts.

I ended up just doing EMOM for squats. Not sure if that is less/more volume than intended but it felt about right.

The squat sets of 2 for 10 minutes was much more intimidating on paper than in actuality.

I usually find that the one I’m worried about on paper ends up being my favorite. It’s always some superset that I’m not even thinking about that kills me.

Agree this one seemed much more intimidating on paper but it was a nice variation.

I got 19 sets on the squats. I was pushing myself so much because I didn’t want to come post my number and not get as much as y’all

The deadlifts was killer cardio. I took a 25 off

I started going for 2 sets per minute. That lasted about 4 minutes then my pace had to slow or I wasn't gonna live to tell about it.

The cardio wasn't too bad, but as I mentioned earlier, I used straps to prevent the inevitable wrist pain.

In all, the actual workout took about 50 minutes including the scheduled warmups sets. I threw a few more warmup sets in at 135 and 185 before getting to the 55% set. Took me about 56 minutes total.

I feel like I'm not doing enough weight. I set my trainng max at 330. So I'm using 300 for my %'s, but I know I can squat more than this. 80% was 240lb for me. I feel like a bitch compared to yall

I'm going to be hating everybody right after work when I get to workout.

I wasn't too worried about it, but now reading what everyone else is doing...makes me want to go harder than I probably should.

What's hilarious to me is I've yet to get sore from squats, even on Squatober prep, but throw in those wall sits and I'm dying today

I did EMOM and was proud of myself until now

also the wall sits on Saturday were cake compared to the last couple rounds of pushups

Programming feels much different than last year. Now have to get my cardio in

Day 1 last year and day 1 this year were very similar, but today was definitely a different approach than anything I've seen from PPSA. Maybe trying to build some endurance

I'm still planning to do EMOM tonight and will happy if I make it. If I can go faster with good form, that'll be great too. I'm still a beginner, so I don't let myself get discouraged by what others can do.
