I get hungry AF if I take an edible too soon before bed. If I don't fall asleep right away I'm making multiple trips to the kitchen. Any advice on controlling this? I've been trying to eat less during the day and dinner knowing that I'm going to consume some empty calories later that night. I told my wife I need to meal prep just for micro dosing edibles.

Don’t eat edibles.
Why do you eat edibles before bed? Is it to help sleep or deal with anxiety?

The only way I've found is not to keep munchie type food like chips and cookies in the house. Usually grapes or a pita with hummus end up being my munchies.

Just some wild guesses but take it closer to bed, drink plenty of water until a couple of hours before bed, and try to resist the urge to snack for a couple of weeks to train your mind & body not to get used to the food craves.

I'm sure there is some remedy to battling munchies, but I don't know it.

Other than sheer willpower, I peel and slice 2-3 carrots and crunch on those, slowly. It's usually about 100 calories, so not a bad deal for what equates to 20-25 minutes of munching. Or I'll grab a cucumber and eat that raw. Cucumbers have so little calories you could (probably) munch on them for hours in a day and see little to no significant change in your caloric total. I think you could, realistically, cut up about 5 cucumbers and it would equate to about 125-150 calories and it's a hell of a lot of cucumbers. Some people say celery, but celery is nasty IMO.

Or low calories popcorn. Maybe not every day but just straight popcorn without butter is not a bad snack. Not all that tasty by itself but it can even be healthy.

I keep protein cookies in my pantry. They’re not great, but help with this problem because at least I’ll be eating something that is remotely healthy if I’m going to munch.

Supposedly some ingredient in a lot of mouthwashes suppress munchies. Can't remember which ingredient. I'll try to find. I know it's in my Crest alcohol free mouthwash.

Someone said nicotine. Microdosing sugar free nicotine gum actually has some health bens. As long as you aren't susceptible to switching to tobacco, of course.

They make me hungry AF too. I fix a huge glass of ice water when I eat them and drink the water instead of getting a snack.

Try those flavored rice cakes. That satisfies the crunchy munchies. Chewing gum and sunflower seeds are another option.

IMO you need to smoke bud or vape - edibles always give me the munches even now that I’ve been fat adapted and keto for 18 months. Bud (at least energetic saticas) and vape do not any longer
