I am and the game gets a little harder as the flexibility and distance goes. Moving up a tee makes it enjoyable though

I am sure you have checked shaft issues and loft already
The loft is my biggest issue. I hit the ball high, used to play a 7 degree driver and got plenty of distance. But I lost that club years ago. Wound up with a 9.5 degree driver and hit it really high. I hadn't been playing enough to concern myself with getting a new driver, but I'm getting back into the game and ready to make a purchase.

That was kinda my point lol. He seems worried about his distance but that's not what's holding his game back.
No doubt. I know a few old guys that can kick my arse and I'm probably 2 clubs longer across the board.

A couple of shots right down the middle from the old man tees puts them on every GIR.

are you using steel or graphite shafts?
are your clubs L/L/L adjusted to your build?
is your swing weight appropriate for your swing speed?
is club age / metal fatigue an issue?
Steel
Pings off the shelf. I did get "fitted" for my irons. Ping Black dot. Not sure if the guy at Golf Galaxy cared if he fitted me properly or just went through the motions to get the purchase.
No idea about swing weight..
Club age.. they're Ping G25s. They have a few years on them.

Oh, I'm not that worried about my distance. But every yard helps. Shorter approach shots, hitting a 9I instead of a 7.. there's benefits, no? Not looking to hit my 8I 175, but if I can learn to get more distance and keep accuracy, how can that not help?
I just want to know what factors mainly contribute to people hitting longer distances with clubs. I know it's common sense and all with what can hinder distance, and I probably possess all hindrances.
On one of the posts, somebody listed their driver at 235 and their 8I at 150. I hit my driver 270 and my 8I 150. I'm just messing up with ball striking on my irons. I know when I hit one pure, it does fly more than 150, just doesn't happen that often.
I really need to work on striking.

My 7 iron is a comfortable 165 yds. There is about 10 yards between each club.
Most on the time I try to play off the tee to get me about 135 out on most par 4s. I am very confident about hitting a smooth 9 iron from that distance and giving myself a good putt at birdie.
I don't always reach it, but my goal every round is to make 3 birdies. 3 birdies negate 3 bogeys and gives me par on 6 holes, a third of the course and then let's the chips fall where they may.
A guy that use to play the mini tours years ago named Andy Dillard told me that and I have always remembered it.

Driver: 290-305 (If my swing is right and my launch angle is dialed in I can push it out to 310 carry)
3W: 255-270 off a tee (Ball flight is inconsistent with it)
3I: Not too sure. Probably around 245..?
4I: ~235
5I: 210
6I: 195
7I: 183
8I: 172
9I: 162
PW: 150
52: 123
56: 105 (I don’t use it on full swings anymore. Anything over 85 I usually hit something low with spin with my 52)

Have you ever considered a 50/54/58 combo? Could be worth a look, especially since you use 1 club in the 85-125 range and it looks like you have room for one more.

60: 40 use around the green mostly
I am sure I could add 10-15 yds to these distances if I would play regularly and practice. I turn 62 shortly and I have been thinking of switching to some regular shafts. Any of you out there go through this transition?

Yes, just making the switch on my irons. I changed in my driver and 3 W a year ago and it helped. New irons came in this afternoon, picking them up in the morning.

This is going to sound dumb.
I regularly think about the exact issue you brought up, but have never really thought to look into that solution.
One reason is because I’m rapidly getting better after putting in some serious effort and time and thought into what I’m doing(ive always kept it between ~82-86 when playing well, with a very rare 80).
I’m getting it into the 70’s about every 4th or 5th time I play now. I say all of that to say I’ve been busy working on other parts of my game(including really learning how to hit these wedges).
My man, I think 50/54/58 might change my life.

Driver: 265+
4 wood: 235-245
7 wood: 215-225
4 hybrid: 200-210
5 iron: 185-195
6 iron: 175-180
7 iron: 165-170
8 iron: 150-160
9 iron: 140-145
PW: 130-135
GW (50°): 120-125
SW (56°): 110-115
LW (60°): 90-100
These are all full swing distances, which I obviously don't use all the time. Conditions, lie, wind, pin position, etc. all factor into what club/shot I hit.
Recently put the TaylorMade MG2 TW sand and lob wedges in the bag. I don't even like Tiger, but these wedges have been great for me. I'm able to comfortably hit this full swing 56° sand wedge 10 yards further than my previous Vokey SM8 54°. Not sure why the difference, but I'm not mad about it. Can also dial it back with ease. Ditto for the 60°. Full swing goes further than my Vokey with the same loft, but it really shines in the 50-65 yard range.
I truly believe that modern equipment has made me longer. I'm 44 now, and if I find myself 125 from the hole, it's a stock gap wedge. 15-20 years ago, that was a full pitching wedge for me. You can say juiced lofts, but in reality, the irons I'm using now are really only 1-2° stronger through the set.

Oh shite, I forgot we talked about playing.
I’m pretty much available to play anytime. Let me know next time you want to tee it up and I’ll most likely be there.
I’m only 40 minutes from Waterlefe, but hadn’t heard of it. Looks tough as hell And pretty much any tee times after 3:00 are ~$36. From pictures of the place those prices seem damn near too good to be true.

I can generally throw them all about the same distance, can get a little extra yardage on my putter thanks to the heavier head
