Get down to under an 8. Moved to a new city and had a kid all within the last 3 years, so I haven’t played as much as I used to.

Get down to a 10hcp: currently at 15, was at a 13.
Break 80: I’ve shot 80 once, 81 a few times, bunch of 83s
Make more 3-5 foot putts. I’ve been working on short putting a lot lately.
Play in most of the club/MGA tournaments

Be able to drive off the cart path and consistently shoot in the 80's (shoot 94-98 now)

Get back to a 5 handicap. Once done I can move back to the tips in our big money game with the scratch golfers that I play with without losing my arse every weekend.

Finally break 80, it’s such a mental block at this point. Had 3-4 chances last year and I choke every time. I want to get single digit handicap, currency 12-13. Also try to explore as many courses around Houston as possible, hopefully get on at Bluejack.

Putting is key.

I’m working on squaring the face and not moving off the ball during stroke.

I putt a quarter under the putter head on putting green and look at GW after ball rolls on line.

It seems to be helping some as far as keeping still over putts and keeping face square.

We got a great deal going on my club right now, give you access to all the clubcorp clubs around Houston. And if you join, I may just be able to turn that around with a way on to Bluejack (have a buddy that’s a member. We go out there at least once every few months.)

Where are you located in Houston?

Need to get back into a rhythm. Played two rounds between Sept through present. New biz and CC are hopefully going to be the difference maker. Need to play at least 30 rounds this year and hopefully keep the 0 hdcp a 0.

Have a few awesome rounds lined up this year - Bluejack in HTX, Fisher Island in NY, and Scottsdale National. Hope to have the game firing on all cylinders for these rounds. Outside chance of playing in the solstice at Bandon which is GOAT experience.

Trying out a new putter for this season. Played the same TeI3 newport 2 for 20 years. WH Pro 3 from Odyseey. IMO the flow neck and ever so slight offset is the perfect club head for a gentle arch or straight back and slightly inside on the way through.

I played my first back to back rounds with anything worse than a bogey this weekend. 75 then 74. Cap is down to a 3.8.

Another goal of mine is to simply enjoy watching my son take up the game. He's got his very first tournament this weekend. I don't care how he plays at all just hoping for good weather and no breakdowns.

My new goal is to be more consistent.

Went 83-70-83 in my last 3 rounds. Not good

I want to get back to single digit hdcp, but that should be a formality, so need to put some thought to a more realistic set of goals. Thx for starting this thread.

At my age (51), 36 holes on Tuesday, 28 on Sat, and 36 again on Sunday are too much, but shooting 77 and 78 recently have me close to obsessed.

2020 trip to Ireland has me excited about working on my game, even after a disappointing performance at Pebble recently. I vowed to get my game back. I think I’m mentally at a point where I can commit, but with a SR and JR in high school athletics, I don’t always have the opportunity.

Been shopping, exploring, and trying to convince my wife to allow me to set up the Skytrak simulator in one of our bedrooms. That might be my goal this season!
