DJ breaking down how intense evaluations and trades are for LIV teams. Very much reminds me of NFL. I could def see why someone would invest Billions to own a LIV team

Hmm I wonder why Rahm is still talking about how he hopes he can play in those events again real soon even though he just signed a multi-year deal with LIV.

Because Rahm thought the deal was close, he gets paid, then could just play tour events.

That dude wants to be in Phoenix in front of that crowd Saturday, not at Las Vegas CC in front of 100 people

Thought? He said that this week in Las Vegas.

It won’t quite be like the 200k at WM Open, but there will be thousands of fans at LIV Las Vegas despite the fact that temps will be in the 40s.

Fighting aside, I don’t think a deal is near close

Pretty much every tour player besides Rory is making it very clear. Even Scottie chimed in

quote:

Scottie Scheffler joins those who say LIV golfers should NOT be welcomed back without consequences: “…I have no bad blood toward the guys that left. But a path toward coming back, it wouldn’t be a very popular decision, I think, if they just came back like nothing ever happened. They did kind of leave and – they left our Tour, that’s just part of it. There should be a pathway back for them, but they definitely shouldn’t be able to come bac

If they struck a deal, they would let Rahm play next week if he wanted to

The players are in control now. Do you think a deal is being struck letting Rahm play immediately based on the comments from the Players on the council? You have to be able to absorb some facts man

The players are sharing their opinion, but the deal will be made between Jay & Yasir

He can’t do that anymore. The players have to approve any deal Jay would want to do

The 1.5 billion "investment" of funny money is only going to keep the PGA afloat for 3-5 years at the most. Meanwhile, they will continue to hemorrhage money with higher purses, less sponsors, and worse fields.

And why is it not enough money? Never knew you were a giant subsidizing liberal that loved the WNBA model of paying people far over what they can produce

It’s wild how conservatives on this board became huge fans of people “deserving” money greater than the value of the revenue they bring in

If your company generates 3 million in revenue, do you think the employees “deserved” 5 million in salary?

Someone is worth what the highest bidder is willing to pay them you can't get more basic economics than that.

What someone "deserves" is irrelevant to capitalism and a free market economy.

So you are now trying to say a basic capitalist business principle is spending far more on expenses than the revenue you bring in is “basic economics”. Got it.

What liv is doing throws every economics and business venture book 1,000 miles out of the window

And you are right. In a capitalist market deserve means nothing. People are paid based on the revenue they can bring in…..

Which they have the freedom to do. Just like you can go to McDonald's and buy and eat 1,000 cheeseburgers. Every health and financial book says you shouldn't do that, but you can do what you want.

LIV will continue to invest and the deal will be reworked until it gets approved.

So would you call it a “basic diet” to eat 1,000 cheeseburgers a day?

Golf just sucks now, not all the big names play the big events anymore. Even the majors. Thanks Liv.

Can't watch a bunch of no names. And Liv just doesn't matter.

Nah. PGA Tour needs to worry about keeping their players happy. Even with Rory changing his tune, this would piss off way too many players. I could easily see top ranked guys boycotting events if they let him back in that easy.

Watching a LIV tournament is like watching someone televising a random local association scramble.
Bush league as hell and zero production value. Teams I couldn’t give a shite about, announcers trying convince themselves they are watching something awesome, players acting as if they give a shite about their “teammates” and an overall minor league baseball feel to the whole crappy thing.

Said that from the beginning.

Hate the production values, graphics and the announcers are D players.

I’m trying to watch both.

The pga tour has got to do something about their commercials. It’s truly pathetic how little golf they show in 60 minutes.

Liv production needs to improve for sure but at least they’re showing actual golf being played.

Not knowing where the leader hit his drive on 18 and going to commercial is a very PGA Tour thing of LIV to do.
