He’s a choker for sure. Still very good at golf but does have trouble finishing.

I think “choker” is a little harsh. Dude has over $40M in career earnings. I wouldn’t call that choking.
That said, he sure as hell struggles trying to close it out. But I think it’s a matter of time till he wins a big one. Hell , Sheffler was struggling till this weekend.

He was and still is #1 in the FedEx points by a wide margin for 2026. He has 11 top 5 finishes this year. He is also #1 in strokes gained total and will probably win player of the year.

Sam is by far not a choker. I think a non-closer/finisher is probably more accurate.
