I have 7 more months before I can swing a club again(spinal fusion) but I'll drive somewhere for the best burger and coldest beer.

Nordwinds Peninsula Club at Indian Lake, PA. The course is the first one designed by Arnold Palmer (Latrobe is 30 min down the road). The original club started to have a lot of issues with membership and the course really suffered and they closed it down. The owner of another local course purchased it and put a lot of money into restoring it and it is now better than ever and open to the public. It is a tight course with tough green complex's so it keeps a lot of part time golfers away. Pace of play is great and it makes you use all of your clubs.

The Preserve - Vancleave Mississippi.
My only claim to fame is, Brett Favre was in the group behind us last week.

Haven't been out to TE lately. How's the course and those turtle back greens looking?

When the greens are put table I actually enjoy TE. Fun little course to go play with your buddies.

For what the course lacks in difficulty on the fairways.... it makes up for with those small humpback greens. It's the perfect halfway point to play with a group of buddies I have living in Shreveport. About an hour from there and an hour from Monroe

I kinda consider this my home course. Not a member of any CC.. don't like playing the same course all the time. We have so many nice courses around here to play.

Worked on the course during Summers back when I was in college. Early 90's. It was nothing short of some Bill Murray Caddyshack shite back in those days. We would show up still drunk from the night before most Saturday and Sunday mornings. I still have a hard time believing we didn't get fired after doing a still dark early morning green cutting.

I made shite but that fringe benefit of playing the course every day after work for free was priceless. Plus the Ast Pro was a fraternity brother so I got a few lessons also.
