Got Trackman back in 2016 - best decision ever made - now it’s so much more simple and the Trackman service is by far the best in the business and the technology is unmatched… if that’s not your budget - so many options these days depends on how much you want to improve balanced with budget
Yes sir - I completely agree with you - I’m very proud of her for coming to this conclusion on her own and she has bought in and is sending videos and doing all the work with the new swing guy - I mean she’s known him forever - he’s a few states away so this is all done via text and video etc

1. She has a clear purpose - he’s tried this with her before years ago and it just didn’t take but now that it’s her idea - she’s fully bought in and she wants a more repeatable swing and she identified things that just don’t work for her with the current method

2. Your last paragraph is actually even more spot on - (I’ve noticed a gradual slide in her Goggins-esque practice habits she’s always been the get up on her own at 5:30 am and read bible work out etc - but this year I’ve noticed she fills her time with more things she wants to do rather than what she should be doing - she’s a teenager I get it )she still dedicates a lot of time and I never go watch her practice - but her feedback this year wreaked of a bit mentally laziness or overconfidence - kinda like Rocky in Rocky III … before his first fight with Clubber Lang…

We will see how it developed by March but I like Her attitude now and she seems determined to make this her new swing… but to me I am fascinated at how she got stuck and how’s she’s working through this now - the good swing is a really amazing thing to try to perfect and everyone has a bit of a different swing
Honestly - I stay of my daughters way especially in arenas she has way more expertise such as her golf swing and relationship with her coach.

She was frustrated that her ball striking has fallen off and she can’t seem to find the issue - and she has started there are several underlying issues that have gotten worse as her coach and her both worked to find solutions the past 8-10 weeks…

She reached out to a pro that strictly teaches his unique swing focusing heavily on the early transition of hips in a way that allows the arms to catch up. The issue as I understand it her hips release so well - her arms are well behind and get stuck which causes a flip..

I mean I would agree with you for most players but when you are competing at her level - 6000+ and the flip causes you to push several approach shots from Middle of the fairway - I can understand she wants a more easily repeatable or more accurately easy to diagnose a flaw swing - the new way - seems a bit harder to learn - but once down should be much more easy to repeat given her swing already - very strong hip release… from what I’m being told - the key is to not discourage the hip speed - but allow it to full load while allowing the body’s natural turn to bring hands through (actually shallowing without using hands - the body will automatically do it)…
naturally shallow this way

LINK
I feel like the shallowing sequence is better long term but takes a lot longer to get down… but will eventually be the far better option - once I start being able to play more regularly I will try to adopt this va the modified stack and tilt I do now as I play so infrequently it cuts down on mis hits short term

Your analysis is spot on sir… in my opinion
And focusing on secondary spine tilt in order to prevent flipping? Older daughter going through a pretty major swing change - found it interesting that the change involves more loading the left side with almost a lean forward - then making sure the arms can win the race with the hips to promote a more repeatable swing. Interesting- seems super complicated to me - but watching a bit of it makes a heck of a lot of sense - basically make the swing more like a slap shot and far less flippy with arms and hands due to getting stuck…
Club upgrade - it's their business model

“The stock options at Titelist are crap - but allow me to show you these shafts that were cored in Antarctica - only $1350 per shaft - no refunds”

We had a horrible experience with them - they don't really fit you for quality they just try to frame Their upgrades is my experience... But we've been through this before on this forum - I guess some locations are different
This was 10000% orchestrated with timing etc - if they were 11-1 she wouldn’t have flipped on him

I’ve been really straining my brain to wonder why exactly Moore snapped like he did and the only explanation I can come up with in my 53 years of life experience - and given there have been multiple investigations etc - I have to think a few very wealthy UM donors basically ran the Trading Places con on Moore and got the mistress to do a complete 180 (likely for a large sum of cash) - otherwise this would have been a slow moving train wreck - it a vibrant Dateline episode. Casting Moore as Akryoid in trading places - allows UM to make this change with zero buyout due and the timing is perfect for them to roll into next year…

Can’t wait for this story to come out in full - is Mr. Beaks actually Connor Stallions? Fresh what a mess

Ping Prodi-G are the best available by far and get one free trade in - so as he frowns you essentially get two sets for one - and it’s not just a shaft exchange - they do it right. A complete new rebuild

PING
Thanks sir - she just got back from an official visit earlier this week - I’ll post once she commits - but she don’t like me yapping about her so out of respect for her I’ll keep it on the down low - she told the coach she wants to
Make a final decision shortly after she takes her SAT’s

Thanks again for asking sir
I think this is quite different over the past 2-4 years - I’d say last year is really the first “Shirt Game” class to be signed - meaning these are kids who came to golf after watching The Short Game on Netflix - I’d say you will see a huge improvement from last years 2025 class through the 2029 class - the 2027 class is crazy competitive on the girls side - they go by the scoring differential and it used to be a -2 would get you anywhere you wanted now a -3.5 can’t get into B1G / SEC - the growth is certainly there on the girls side IMHO
They are 15 and 16 now and they made it to Augusta in 2022 and 2024 - pretty crazy …
Yes sir - both daughters actually made it - beyond blessed on that one - two trips to Augusta once with each kid :)
Asterisk Talley and Mia Hammond both were up for the exemptions… and they likely would have done better
Played South - my daughter was E From whites - like 6145 - had 4 birdies / 4 bogeys she smoked me 6/4 but I played well for me…

Yea the rough draft as the most punitive I’ve seen - crazy deep… what a great experience :)
My person opinion - no - 75% would not break 83 - if you shrunk it to Power 4 schools and a few group of 5 conferences then yes - I’d say 65% of those recruits would shoot the same or better… there are 300+ D1 golf programs it’s not like D1 football - and also keep in mind elite schools like top ivy programs regularly sign top 250 Rolex Ranked Players
We were in San Diego for a visit and thought we’d just try to walk up at Torrey Pines and get a tee time. It was a Tuesday and some rain was forecast. I had a contingency for my daughter and I - but it worked - got there at 8:30 and got a tee time for 11:00 - and a junior rate for my daughter. It was beyond spectacular… very impressed and they were building the bleachers for the Farmers. Had to excellent players who joined us - great day

Highly recommend…
She’s a very nice and well liked kid - the issue from other top juniors is she is getting spots that others deserve in these events and other top ones - namely Sage Valley or if she gets into ANWA… I get both sides and for her - if my daughter had those connections of course I’d be for that too

Bottom line is as someone in this world a bit - everything I understand is she’s a nice and respectful young lady - she’s not Rose Zhang talent wise - but who cares - as long as she’s a good kid and bringing light to the sport - good on her… she gets great opportunities and dos her best and has a great attitude..

Asterisk is also a very good kid from a great family and she will do down as one of the best ever - she’s a year younger… big time rooting for her too
