t is, but if we’re being honest pro golf has no business being in NOLA.

Do some research Livtard. It's been here for a long time.

Key Historical Highlights:
Evolution of Names: Started as the Crescent City Open (1938) and the New Orleans Open, before becoming the Greater New Orleans Open Invitational in 1958.
Venue Changes: Originally played at City Park Golf Courses (1938-1962), it moved to Lakewood Country Club (1963-1988), then to English Turn Golf & Country Club (1989-2004) before settling at TPC Louisiana in 2005.
The Team Format: In 2017, the tournament changed to its current two-man team format, featuring alternating rounds of foursomes and four-ball.
Hurricane Resilience: Despite Hurricane Katrina (2005) and subsequent storms (Gustav, Isaac, Ida) damaging the area, the tournament has continued, briefly returning to English Turn in 2006 before returning to TPC Louisiana, helping rebuild the region's tourism.
Recent Winners: The 2026 winners were Matt and Alex Fitzpatrick, finishing at a record 31-under 257.

Breaking news - State says that LIV is postponing the event. Let's wait for LIV's statement.

I don't think he is a LIV guy, just a guy that really, really hates New Orleans.

Will they fricking give one?

Or just an internal memo? Or am interview that goes public then they rip down and re-edit it before putting back up?

Being this excited about a tour postponing an event (that you claim to care nothing about) is fricking weird behavior. Is your life that shitty that you need the online validation of your opinions from strangers?

This is the biggest news in the world of golf right now. I’m not sure why you expect people not to talk about it.

LIV divided the sport and golfing community. Strong feelings on both sides whether you like it or not.

Cmon LIV just found out it’s hot in New Orleans in the summer and that there’s a World Cup happening in the U.S. And they just saw the course for the first time this month.

Nothing they could do but “postpone.”

you were pretty damn giddy about the PGA Tour laying of ~50 employees and the Hawaii tournaments being cut last week. Talk about weird behavior

Arlo White

This is one of my biggest disappointments with LIV. When he was the lead broadcaster for NBC EPL matches, I thought he was great. He was the voice of the Premier League to me. I am not sure if he left that job for LIV or if he was already done, but this just seems like such a step down. I don't even mean that LIV is a step down. I mean that his performance is a step down.

The hyperbole he uses in the broadcasts is actually a detraction from LIV, in my opinion. He is treating the viewers as morons instead of just broadcasting the event based on what happens.

Leaving it there with no dates so they don’t have to offer those refunds probably.

Oh yeah, I was so giddy I was the one defending the field strength against people who were shitting on it and also talked about it being a popular event.

This whole pitting LIV against PGA is stupid. I watch both tours.

It almost feels as if he's doing his Ted Lasso AFC Richmond persona, where he has to fake his excitement. I thought he was great for the Premier League as well.
