“Hey Liv, can we get proof of funds?”

State needs to tell LIV to go frick themselves. They got the state to pony up millions to renovate the course and right when all the work is about done, now they want to downsize the event?
Moving to September-October is stupid and LIV's excuses sound like a massive pile of bullshite.
Avoid the June heat? September and October are hot too and its the busiest part of hurricane season on top of the heat.
Avoid conflicting with the World Cup? The WC is still in the group stage by that weekend in June. The US has a game vs Turkey that Thursday in Los Angeles. That's the only conflict that really moves the needle and its a TV event for the locals here. Moving to Sept-Oct timeline conflicts with LSU and Saints games and at least one of them, if not both, will be playing home games most weekends in Sept-Oct
Its not like the typical summer temps down here or the World Cup schedule weren't known before they scheduled the event in the first place.

Then make a point besides pivoting to me.
You read the article. The Zurich had only 2 top 30 players, is in the bottom 5 in ratings of all tour events, and has a gimmicky format.
LIV cancelled the event.
Obviously you feel differently, state your case as to why the Zurich is a success and should be a signature event getting Scottie and Rory to NOLA.

when did he say that?
He said you were dumb for saying "pro golf has no place in the State of Louisiana." Most events are not signature events. Disagreeing with you that pro golf has no place in the state =/= that the Zurich should be a signature event. Those two things are not mutually exclusive.

yeah, they have money issues

Why is this the bar for whether an event should exist or not?
Rory doesn't even play in signature events these days.

If you aren’t shooting for the top, get out of business.
Back in the day we had Nicklaus and Watson coming every year.
This event has never had Tiger and needs to move.

My dad would always tell a story about Mark Morial taking money from some kids camp that the Woods family put on in New Orleans. So, I think Tiger vowed to never come to New Orleans after that. I am not sure how true that is.

Tiger never came to the FedEx St Jude in Memphis either. Tiger has never been to a ton of yearly stops on the PGA Tour. You have some really weird bench marks. You simply cannot compare golfers from the 60s and 70s to today. They all played way more events per year that the top golfers do now.
It honestly sounds like the only solution to this "problem" you think the Zurich has is to shrink the Tour and eliminate more than half the events. If your barometer is it's never going to be a signature events, that would be the end result for more than 50% of PGA Tour events.
How would that benefit the golf fan?

Scott O’Neil two weeks ago
Two weeks later he is axing events in June

What else is Scott o Neil going to say?
“Our league is on thin ice funding wise and we’re potentially collapsing”
He has an impossible job right now and is trying to rally the troops, but the proof is coming out.

You should post the Nuclr Golf posts which states multiple LIV players have begun reaching out to the DP world tour given the uncertainty around the league.

I guess you're new to his schtick/troll. He does this on every board. The only thing he talks about on the Pels board is how the owner and franchise sucks and New Orleans is trash and the team needs to move to be successful.

My buddy bought a pre sale ticket to LIV Nola. He called liv customer support to get a refund and they refused because they said it’s postponed not cancelled
