It looks fricking awesome. It’s the kind of gratuitous violence I would’ve expected from a god of war game. Wolverine was always my favorite since a kid and even though some of the action and animations don’t look as fluid as I would hope this is a day one buy for me

No; his first appearance in Incredible Hulk #180 (cameo) and #181 (full appearance and cover) have him in his yellow suit; he's not recruited to the X-Men until Giant Size X-Men in 1975. Prior to being part of the X-Men, you're only told he is a government agent. Storylines detailing the Weapon X program and other parts of his history come out later.

Canadian government, to be exact. Because the Hulk was reported in Canada (and would eventually be fighting the Wendigo).
This was what I think of as the classic Hulk character: big, dumb and just wanting to be left alone but trouble kept finding him.

I haven't seen anything that makes me want this game, yet
