Did you keep your console systems? If you sold them, why did you?

Considering making the switch, but I’m unsure.

I didn't. I made the switch just before a new console launch. Sure, I've missed a handful of exclusives, but that wasn't reason enough for me to stick with console gaming.

Swapped 2 months ago. Kept my console because I will still play from time to time. PC has my heart now though.

I’ve got a PC, PS4, Xbox One, Switch, and a PS classic.

I play what I want when I want dammit.

I kept my PS4 and Xbox One X but haven't touched them since I got the PC. Other than sitting on the couch playing, I really think the PC is the better option all around.

I always keep mine, although I am far less attached to really anything beyond the PS2 generation. I think the PS4 will be the last console I ever buy that isn't Nintendo. Console exclusives are going to continue to dwindle.

I just hope there aren't any Fromsoft exclusives on PS5. I'll have to cuck out at that point.

My boy keeps hitting me up for a gaming PC instead of a next gen console. I don't even know where to begin. I've always had a console.

How much should a pre-built capable gaming PC cost?

Absolutely, all of my kids play games so it's nice to have something available.

Current roster: PS4, PS3, Xbox Series X, Xbox One S, Xbox One (OG), Xbox 360, Wii, Switch and Oculus Quest II.

It's a steep investment but you can start out with something like this: CyberPower PC

I bought a gaming PC equipped with a RTX 2080 for my kids but it is complete overkill considering they use it to play Roblox.

I sure as hell keep all mine. I thought about giving myself a $5000 - $7500 build budget last year, but ultimately decided against it.

No games I really care to play, and I dont enjoy playing games with lots of other people so all that build would be collecting dust as opposed to a next generation console, at only $600 which i will use to play 7 to 10 different games a year and use it also as a Netflix, prime, hulu, tubi, etc type of hub used by the household

I feel like all the games I play on Xbox I can play on PC. Plus, I haven’t turned on the PlayStation to play in 18 months...a lot of the games are still in the cellophane wrapper.

Gotta love being an adult. You have the $$ to do what you want, but not the time.

My biggest worry is the 1 time/year I have a friend over we can’t play Madden.

This is the reason i am considering just switching back to console for gaming. If most games next gen keep "performance mode" to ~1440p and 60fps, I'm pretty happy to play. My PC can't do that with my i5-6500k and GTX1070. I was planning to upgrade my PC this year but I got a PS5 and it feels like with the 4-6 hours a week I get to play, it's hard to justify the build cost of a PC until next gen consoles have a hard time with their performance modes.
FFXV is god damn beautiful in performance mode.

This is where I'm at. Thinking of just getting an Xbox instead of upgrading my PC. I priced out a new rig and hardware prices are pretty stupid at the moment. For the few hours I get a week, $500 for a new Xbox is a lot better deal.

Kept my ps4 for MLB The Show. Hoping it comes to PC this year though. I was super hesitant to make the switch to PC, but I'm glad I did.

I've kept all my old systems. The only ones I ever pulled out the closet are the Ps2 and snes. And the ps3 as a bluray player

I kept them. Why not, it's not like you're getting more than a 100 for an old system and I'll be able to blow my kids minds in the future.

This is why I only have a switch for now. I can take it with me on road trips for work but I'm usually too tired

I read that it is. MLB is the only reason I initially bought a PS4. I’ve got 8 games for it and 6/8 are still in the wrapper.

Do y’all use your gaming PC for things other than gaming?
