re: Lawn and sprinkler quote - AugustaTiger
I’m in Georgia which it looks like you are too. I just paid $270 per pallet for St. Augustine. My landscaper did 7 pallets of St. Augustine, French drains around our entire house (200ft approx), 2 tons of river rock, mulched, and put new flowers/bushes in the beds for $5900. Sounds like you ...

Is now a good time to buy a car? - AugustaTiger
The Mrs’ vehicle has been showing its age (‘07) and we have known we are going to have to replace it. Given the current uncertainty, is now a good time to buy? I’m comfortable with it financially. Just want to know how much of a better deal I can get on a used vehicle at this time. Looking a...

re: The Only stock to buy now... - AugustaTiger
I agree. The low oil prices/economic environment will allow for the companies with rock solid balance sheets to acquire some of these companies at a huge discount. Doing this will permanently reduce the operating costs of the companies that are already solid, making the break even points even lower....

re: Burrow autograph session? - AugustaTiger
Anyone know if I can have both the Mrs. and I in the photo with Joe? Or are they going to make me buy two? From all the stipulations about what he will/won’t sign I wouldn’t be surprised if we couldn’t take a picture with the two of us. ...

Outdoor sound system - AugustaTiger
Hi all, I’m currently working on upgrading my outdoor space. What kind of speaker set up would you recommend? I’d like something that I could hook up to the TV on the deck and still have it play down on the patio/fire pit. I was thinking Bluetooth but I’m doubtful that the insignia tv has Bl...

The also make some money off of the expense ratios of their index and mutual funds. Just because you can’t see the fee doesn’t mean you aren’t paying one. ...

re: Anyone been to Antarctica? - AugustaTiger
From what I gather: Small luxury ship. 150 passengers total. Butlers on board. Lots of scientists & naturalists. You go onto land in groups on 6. They outfit you with all your gear. I gather that this is more like the Ritz and some of the other ships were more like a holiday inn. Just depends on...

Omni or Embassy Suites are both right there. I’d stay at the Omni if it was just the wife and I. Probably would do the Embassy Suites for more room with kids. - also I think the last time we stayed there Embassy Suites had free breakfast. ...

re: Backdoor Roth for 2020 Income - AugustaTiger
Put them in to traditional IRA now and set it up to do an auto conversion to your Roth on the same day you make your contributions. You likely don’t qualify for a deduction on traditional Ira, so you will have a “non deductible Ira” and you just convert it to Roth. ...

1)Dulles to Casablanca. It was mid March and weather wasn’t great. Got in my seat, got comfy, put on my blackout eye mask, noise canceling headphones, took a melatonin and knocked out for 4 hours. When I woke up we were still on the tarmac because they had to de-Ice the plane 3 times and each time w...

The Mrs. and I did Marrakech March 2019 and it has probably ended up being one of our favorite destinations. We look forward to when we can return. We had a guide show us around and then we were very comfortable on our own. The locals were nice and liked to joke. Just avoid snake charmers, monke...
