this guy has some pretty interesting videos for tips and such. could be spoiler..ery at points so watch out.

That video is awesome. Just getting to play the game with 3 kids at home is difficult enough, I doubt I could ever come up with some of those ideas. So, I'm glad I saw that and can try it all.

I think I need to work on upping my battery limits. I'm still on the basic one and haven't bothered returning to the caves where you get more power.

I've gone into 2 shrines that are mini versions of Eventide. I got my arse kicked. So, I know I'm not ready for Eventide.

Feel free to head there. It's not the same thing as BOTW. It's really fun though

A vendor right outside Lookout Landing expands your battery power.

The easiest way to get the crystals required is still just buying them underground at the abandoned mines

Made it over to my first tower with the assumption that it'll help reveal a portion of the map like on BotW...got absolutely manhandled by the army guarding its base. Seems like there is an elevator to ride to the top of the tower, but it didn't activate when I tried to rush past all of the enemies. If it truly is an elevator I guess I have to clear the area and destroy all of my weapons in the process.

lol apparently I just needed to follow the main quest line until I got to Purah. Oh well...wasted a couple of hours exploring, I guess.

I unlocked about 20 shrines yesterday, but I'm still 50 away from them all think today is the day I head to death mountain. Haven't really done much up that way.

Absolutely. Is there another way to get them other than just finding them randomly?

I was watching some tips and tricks videos from Zeltik. I don't think he mentioned anything that wasn't mentioned in the game, but you get Zonaite throughout the world and go to forges to have one of the constructs to turn them into crystals.

I get not being able to use these devices infinitely, but between hearts, stamina, and now battery power, it's a lot of collecting.

It's definitely like having another health bar to keep up with, but honestly I never ran into an issue with battery power even before upgrading it.

I just started my trek to the Wind Temple. Can't wait to see what it's all about.

I've been building up the battery quicker than I expected. I'll take on stone taluses and the other big bads in the underground, and they usually drop some large zonaite and crystallized charges.

I've only been buying large charges at the mines using large zonaite since the conversion rate seems to be a lot better than using buying the small charges. Every blood moon, the forges in the mines restock the large charges supply, so that's when I upgrade the battery.

I think you can just make a fire and rest and they will restock as well

Ya, that's why I didn't fight the one in the depths. I just don't find the fight entertaining. It takes way too long to beat them and they're harder than the actual bosses in the temples.

Has anyone fought a Gleeok yet? I've seen a few, but ran like hell.

At first I tried to do it the "right way," but eventually gave up on using the carts and just climbed and glided around everything. Used a ton of the Ascend ability and the wind gust ability. Such a pain in the rear.

Followed that up with the water temple... so relaxing and easy.
