Should be hopping on this in a few hrs. Pretty tough checking out this thread and keeping the seal on my TOTK copy while I beat BOTW 
Will say that I’m glad I started with the older one because now I understand why it got so much praise.

I beat it a couple years ago on the Wii U and got all the armor and shite. It's a great game.
My son and I went halves on a Switch last weekend for TOTK. He paid for it and I told him I would give him half the money once he beats it and brings the console downstairs. He's taking his sweet arse time.

Same. Water Temple cleared and I'm scared to look at my play time.
Just unlocked the 2nd Great Fairy, and cleared out Lurelin Village of its pirates, this afternoon.
ETA - the Boko gang east of there on the peninsula rocked my world in all the bad ways. I ran out of Muddle Buds that I usually reserve for the Boss Boko to clear the black ones before I get close.

In gerudo it is easiest to kill the mushroom spores from the roof. also do not forget to go off the throne room AFTER the fight and collect some sweet weapon fusers. (I even picked them all up outside)

Anyone know how to get the underworld root that's underneath goron? is there a secret chasm or do i have to find a way to fly up there. Always lose all charge 1/3 of the way up.

Not sure if same area or not, but I've built a hot-air balloon with two batteries attached. I've found that pretty much will get you to any height you need... if underground, it always hits the ceiling.

General Zonai device question - if there's a battery attached anywhere on the construct, will it provide extended power?

to my knowledge, yes. i've put them in strange places and it's been fine until it's run out of power

same exact feeling, hah started this morning wanting to do some exploring and I just ended up beating the game (before I had finished all the main story quests, but I had done the 4 temples) once I got into the zone and realized what was going on, just couldn't stop playing - such a fantastic game - looking forward to going back and finishing some quest lines I missed.
