I’ve thoroughly enjoyed this game.
Side quests are so much better.
I needed to find a specific horse. I wasn’t sneaky enough ir have enough stamina. So I went and got the sneak suit. But if I didn’t want to pay a million bucks I needed to make some soup for a sick lady. I had to find milk so I went to Hateno for it. Then I took the milk back and made the soup. Then I bought the sneak suit. Then I got the horse.

Not sure if we mentioned it here yet, but certainly Sky Islands have super difficult chests to obtain that have Old Maps in them. When you receive one, it'll put an X on your Depts map marking the spot for rate treasure/gear. Found 3 so far

DON'T go to the "x" below Skull Island unless you are prepared for a fight.

Yeah, I found some kind of fighting platform north central Depths. Looked like the same type of gloom shark as the Water Temple. Ain't nobody got time for that.

Ya I accidentally walked right into (literally) a Linel in the depths. Immediately warped out of there.
Didn't feel like feverishly button mashing for 15 minutes when all I wanted to do was explore.

Yeah I picked up on the foreshadowing but damn I can’t imagine “it’ll” stay like that after we get the sword out

I see Eventide Island looming out there and while I have a rocket-powered boat built to get me there, I'm afraid to set foot on its shores for fear of a similar hostage situation like BOTW...

well...Jedi Survivor pissed me off with the bounty hunter bug preventing me from getting the platinum trophy for the time being, so I have moved on to TotK. Finally put some time in and get down to Hyrule last night and did a couple of quick shrines. Made it over to my first tower with the assumption that it'll help reveal a portion of the map like on BotW...got absolutely manhandled by the army guarding its base. Seems like there is an elevator to ride to the top of the tower, but it didn't activate when I tried to rush past all of the enemies. If it truly is an elevator I guess I have to clear the area and destroy all of my weapons in the process.
Enjoying it so far. Love the puzzle solving aspect with the very early on building and fusing skills.

They're not doing anyone any favors with that south Hyrule tower being the first one you try and clear. You might want to set your sights to a few others first.

I've gone into 2 shrines that are mini versions of Eventide. I got my arse kicked. So, I know I'm not ready for Eventide.

That is the only tower like that. It is definitely annoying though. I have ported to that tower before and left it for a minute because I equate towers with "safe," just to come back and my dude is dead.

I thought they were a random occurrence when I first got messed up. Restarted and took a wide birth from my previous path and saw they were roaming around in a field. Guess I blindly missed them the first time.
