Unequip the armor
I just made level 10.
Killed some super mutant with a star by his name and got a full auto 10mm pistol that has exploding rounds that add 15 damage aoe after impact.
Pretty sweet

Hold whatever button you used to get into it. Default is A on the Xbone.
I spent 30 mins trying to figure it out and had to google it

Dunno I can't play until tomorrow, seems to be mostly positive on here and what I have read elsewhere, all games release with bugs now and there are those that nitpick, I have been guilty of it.

I think it's a really good game. I keep starting over and changing my character so haven't gotten too far.
But yeah, don't get struck by radiation lightning.

Haven't played but followed pretty closely. It's mostly positive I hear. It has bugs and on console some framerate issues. If you are worried then just wait a bit for some patches.

Early technical issues aside, my friends are comparing it to borderlands moreso than a proper fallout game.

I've held off on buying the new xbox until this game came out. I saw the fallout edition and had to order it. So, as much as I said I would wait until I had a few months free to play it, that didn't happen.

bad news is my whole fricking system got wiped. good news is i get to re install on my SSD this time and say piss off to those load screens.

I was in some supermarket location and wasn't sneaking and all of a sudden I start getting rekt by a turret up on a building. I haul arse away and when I turn around one of those frickers is right on my tail. I managed to take him out but I backed up into a pack of ghouls in the process and didn't survive.
That was my first experience with the Nerd's Rage perk and its legit though. Only reason I was able to take the fat man out.

So far I have found 2 weapons with a star next to their names. One was a laser rifle from the brotherhood of steel guy. It has better crit recharge and some other bonus. I sold it because this character won't ever use energy weapons.
The other is a 3 burst 10mm pistol with aoe damsge explosive rounds. Got it from a super mutant with a star by his name I encountered randomly on my way to a mission. Took a lot of ammo and meds to kill him, but totally worth it. That gun is legit for my character who is a rogue type.
So far, I really love this game. Compelling stories to follow, fun combat, fun scrounging, fun crafting.
