Is that the "pip boy edition" of the game?

I pre-ordered it for my stepson. The anticipation of it arriving is driving him insane.

Wish I had bought two. They're selling for a nice markup on eBay, last I checked.

OK, I legit have never played a fallout game before. What is it about? Is there a multiplayer aspect to it? Story line driven, or what? Please fill in the new guy

Getting close to finishing up my 3rd play through of NV. I've never played any of the add-ons, but will give give Old World Blues and probably Honest Hearts a a shot before I finish the story. MAY play Lonesome Road. Dead Money doesn't look interesting to me.

I am super excited for this.

When Fallout 3 came out I went in balls deep, then just stopped. Got new vegas, played it twice and dang near finished 100% on the first playthrough.

Fallout 4 will consume me. Like "take a day off work" consuming type of game.

Go purchase Fallout 3 and Fallout:New Vegas. See you in 3 months.

The way it (fallout 3) was first explained to me was, "It's Oblivion with guns." Ever since then I have been enchanted with this wonderful series of game.

It's single-player, no multi. But it has been the single most enjoyable gaming experience I have ever had. Witcher 3 has come close TBH, but there's something about shifting through the ruins of what would be our collapsed society after the atomic armageddon that is the alternate history of our world which sets as the backdrop for these games. The alternate history, along with the lore that precedes the games is very interesting.

Fallout 3 takes place in the Washington DC area called The Capital Wasteland. New Vegas obviously happens around Las Vegas. Fallout 4 takes place back east in Boston and New England in general I believe.

These games net an experience granting hundreds of hours of pure gaming awesomeness. The best part? Simply exploring the areas are the best part of the game. It's something that Bethesda has excelled in and they are by far my favorite studio for this.

Correct. Wish they would have chosen somewhere else, but I'll take it. England would have been cool to see other places in the world. Minneapolis / St. Paul, Seattle, San Francisco, Vancouver, Toronto, Chicago, New York, Miami / Carribean, and of course NOLA would have all made better choices as far as settings go IMO.

That isn't going to stop me from playing in the least but I was a little disappointed when I heard.
