Was discussing with some friends who is the most difficult person to beat in the game. Personally, it took me longer to beat Mr. Sandman than it did Tyson.

Once you figured out how to deal with their special punches, you were all set.

Beating Mike tyson was an event over here by me.

I felt like those spin punches were tough the first couple times facing it, but easy after that.

I was too nervous fighting Tyson the first ten times I tried. That subsided and was able to finally get him.

How many hours I sat in front of that game…

Although Tyson is arguably the toughest the ability to go directly to him with a code makes him easy to practice.

Some of the other fights are technically more forgiving but you get less practice cuz you gotta go through a circuit to get a go at them.

I was more excited the first time I beat Mike Tyson than I was the first time I conquered super Mario Brothers

It’s easily Tyson
Only ever beat him once.

Once you figure out the pattern and set up, Sandman isn’t that hard.

Don’t try to beat him in the first round. Get his power down to where just a couple punches will knock him down in round two.

Soda Pop kicked my arse. I had to actually learn how to fight to beat him which helped me against the last set of characters.

Shame they had to change his name from Vodka Drunkenski. Even when I was a kid I wondered why his quotes were so weird from drinking "soda."

Same here, thanks to 007 373 5963.

Tyson basically turned into Piston Honda if you survived the first minute and a half.

Soda Popinski is brutal on an emulator.

Some shite you just don't ever forget.

ETA: I see others beat me to the punch (pun definitely intended).

My favorite growing up was Little League Baseball: Championship Series.

That, and the OG Golf were the two I think I played the most. Every now and then I break out my NES and my son and I play (he's 7 now), and Golf is just as fun as it was 35 years ago. Simpler games were much more fun for me for whatever reason.

Exactly. Got a modded original Xbox with all of the old systems on it years ago, and remember thinking "why was this MFer so easier to get past when I was a kid?!?"
