Well you’re fricking retarded and apparently just eat to make a turd.
You need to get out more. Who am I kidding? You’re probably not even a salvageable human being.
If you can’t tell the difference between excellence and mediocrity with something as simple as pizza…just die in a fire. And that bag of dicks ? Eat it.
Have an upvote. Pizza is pizza my arse. Should also be broke down by thick or thin crust, and style of pizza. Personally, I prefer a thin crispy crust. My personal favorite is U.S. Pizza here in Arkansas, but I like Vino's and Damngoodpies as well. U.S. Pizza has a badass salad supreme and ice cold beer with frosted mugs. Always liked the atmosphere and it's where I grew up watching Razorback games if we weren't grilling out. Nostalgia adds a flavor that's irreplaceable. Supreme with anchovies, salad supreme with house dressing and a cold miller lite or bud draft will watching a hog win in FB or Basketball would be my dream last meal. With my Dad and Grandpa who are no longer with me except in spirit.
Pizza is pizza? Closest Sonic motherfricker.

Pizza is pizza. A freaking slice of pizza from RaceTrac is about as good as 90% of the joints out there. There isn’t a pizza place I have ever visited that I consider a must visit. But that’s just me.
Pizza, like anything else, can be really good, pretty good or complete shite.
I like deep dish pizza. There used to be a local pizza joint im my area growing up. It was made perfect. There wasn't thick or thin crust.. It wasn't too thick and wasn't too thin. It had the perfect amount of cheese. It was well balanced. It pretty much had the right amount of sauce, etc.
The place was always packed, but the guy who owned it got into financial trouble, I think it had to do with something over video poker machines, but someone else decided they would open up a pizza place. The crust was too thin, they were not consistent. It didn't stay open very long. So don't give me this "pizza is pizza".

I’ve eaten Golden Boy in SF a number of times. It’s great pizza but the people and building are weird. Lots of occult symbols decorate that place.

Like everything else a person's "best pizza" is a personal choice. Depends on your tastes. It may be very good but it's not everyone's "best"

Zachary’s and little star are amazing, both deep dish. I’m partial to little star myself

The Shack Special at Pizza Shack in Opelousas would go toe to toe with any pie in the country. It’s one of the only decent things left in that town.

Which Bay Area? Tampa, Green, or Chack?

quote:The purpose of these lists are to generate clicks. An easy way to do that is to make it controversial. No one cares if they name the usual spots in NYC or Chicago. Throw a Bay Area vegetarian spot at #1 and you've got multi-page threads all over the internet. Lol at anyone thinking there's any attempt at legitimacy.
Jesus Christ. So these people are probably not even eating the shite they are ranking.

Not sure why you're getting downvotes, unless people assume Chicago means deep dish or stuffed.
We rarely eat that.
How’s Pequod’s? I saw a video of their burnt cheese crust and it looked fricking fantastic.

My takeaways-
It’s literally science that other parts of the country have better pizza. The water, the minerals, the yeast, the temperature, the 500 year old brick oven with cooked in aromas….you’re not getting at a gas station.
Yes- 90% of pizza is pizza if you’re pizza experience consists of gas stations, frozen pizza, delivery pizza, sporting event pizza, chain restaurants pizza etc.
Pizza is pizza? Wine is wine also right? Good luck competing with those vineyards out in California and Oregon with a product out of Louisiana with a tinge of ball sweat from the heat and humidity here.

You described a "place" more than a pizza. That's kinda my point, everyone things "their" pizza place is the best. It's your POV.
As someone that has eaten pizza all over the place, with people everywhere trying to convince me it's "the best," it just...never...is...

Prove me wrong? Everybody thinks their pizza joint is the best, or that they found some special spot. Most of the time it's shiat. And artisan pizza is for fricktards.
