Pizza is pizza. A freaking slice of pizza from RaceTrac is about as good as 90% of the joints out there. There isn’t a pizza place I have ever visited that I consider a must visit. But that’s just me.

Well you’re fricking retarded and apparently just eat to make a turd.

You need to get out more. Who am I kidding? You’re probably not even a salvageable human being.

If you can’t tell the difference between excellence and mediocrity with something as simple as pizza…just die in a fire. And that bag of dicks ? Eat it.

The charms of the restaurant co-op are apparent for anyone who’s stepped into the perpetually long line: Crisp pizza dough topped with a rotating list of fresh, always vegetarian toppings, with the free green sauce, makes for a stellar combo

Bona Pizza on W. Capitol Expressway in San Jose has better pizza than that joint, guaranteed.

There is some damn good pizza in the Bay Area, but that vegetarian place is not my speed at all.

They have some damn good burgers too. Just had one at the ERC Pub in Belmont and holy shite it was amazing.

Then I ate a brownie and downed a couple shots of Don Julio and smoked astanding in front the place...damn, a fine evening....

That's more likely in Oakland or S.F. than Berkeley.

There are 4 things that make a great pizza - crust, sauce, cheese and meat toppings. Any other vegetables are just the stocking stuffers of the pizza.

If you’re in DC, I love Paradiso

quote:

“[m]aking great pizza isn’t all that difficult. You need good yeast dough – left to rise long enough to develop the flavor. Then a tomato sauce of quality, cheese that’s delicious and fresh herbs from the garden, honest olive oil and vibrant toppings. Plus a good hot wood-burning oven. In other words, all it takes is a commitment to quality. That’s what makes the difference at Pizzeria Paradiso.”

Two Stouffer‘s French bread pizzas at home after a long night at the bars play second fiddle to no other pizza

Do they do a gluten free crust, and vegan ‘cheese’?

To each his own, but I've eaten at this place at least 10 times and I don't think it's all that great

I completely understand the take on my take. My problem is black char on any food is an immediate turn-off. There is a difference between well caramelized and charcoal. Both Frank Pepe and Sally's make a great pie with top-notch ingredients and Sally's sauce may be the best in the country but the crust is just a turnoff to me.

I have the same issue with the steak at Peter Luger. They always seem to go one step too far (for me) with the sear.

Not sure why you're getting downvotes, unless people assume Chicago means deep dish or stuffed.

We rarely eat that.
