Yelp dropped a list Tuesday ranking the best pizza in America — while simultaneously celebrating the made-up holiday National Pizza Day...

Yelp decreed that the top-ranked pizza spot in the U.S. is Cheese Board Pizza in North Berkeley, beating out New York City’s uber-popular (and troubled) Prince Street Pizza.

Golden Boy and Little Star in San Francisco, as well as Zachary’s in Oakland, ranked in the top 20.

The charms of the restaurant co-op are apparent for anyone who’s stepped into the perpetually long line: Crisp pizza dough topped with a rotating list of fresh, always vegetarian toppings, with the free green sauce, makes for a stellar combo.

Look, I like veggies on my pizza, but no way a meatless pizza is ever close to the best in America. Get the frick out of here

I've had pizza in upstate NY that was just as good as anything in NYC. It's not everywhere but a couple places there have serious pie game.

But over there do the pizzas identify as pizzas?

Exactly. How does yelp rank these things? Based on patrons visiting the places? Okay, so it might be the most visited pizza place right now, but to say best is not the same thing. Walmart is probably the most visited store everyday in this country. Is it referred to by anyone as the best store?

The best pizza I’ve ever had is a small Italian bakery in Cotter, Arkansas called Nimas.

Honorable mention
