Zealot would be all over that. Should be better than his favorite buffet at nirvana.

I'm surprised Bobby Hebert isn't taking over since he's an overnight culinary sensation.

I actually liked the place....it was decent food at okay prices. Took my getting to be elderly parents there for lunch a few times and appreciated the 1)good lighting 2)easy navigation, uncrowded layout (ie no steps, squashed together tables, or unsteady furniture), and 3)low noise level. It was very old-folks friendly, and there are few restaurants in NOLA who can claim this. So many are too dark, loud, precarious, cramped, etc.

You may laugh at these sorts of concerns now, but may we all be lucky enough to live so long.

I doubt any of that will change, the restaurant is just going to be managed by a less expensive management company.

They'll probably turn it over to a Sodexho type outfit, who will just provide food prep, service, and management for a fixed fee.

Indeed. Quality is never the path to maximum profits in our economic system.

If so, that's disappointing. Have used them annually for a Dome event, and I have been consistently underwhelmed. Overpriced, same old mass produced crud. Ability and interest of event/serving staff varies wildly.

Welcome to the "new" New Orleans. Locals can't afford commercial rent in lots of places anymore. Get used to it.

Trust me I know. Fiancée has a small personal training studio on Magazine. It's ridiculous.

This is true, but it's still disappointing. Last trip to American Sector I had sous vide/fried/smoked lamb ribs that were amazing.
