You can have it, I had one of the worst dining experiences I ever had in a restaurant in my life. Came in with with 4 adults 2 teens for dinner, the greeter said the only way they can seat a 6 top was either in a booth, or outside, and there was a wait for outside. We were the only ones in the waiting area, there were several empty 4 tops right in front of us. I asked is they could just push a couple of 4 tops together so we would not have to sit in a booth, "we are not allowed to do that".

Six adult sized people in a booth is not very comfortable, but my guests had been traveling all day and were hungry, so I said a booth was OK.

My group was ahead of me, they scrunched into the booth, this was our view...

There was a strong smell of bleach and cleaning chemical, and since we were next to the patio door, people kept brushing by.

The food was less than mediocre, two of our group left and went to Walk-Ons to get something edible. When we were ready to leave the waitress disappeared, after 15 minutes I called the restaurant and asked them so send someone to our table.

I know Willie's is popular on this board, it was popular with me until a few days ago. so I expect the usual cynical crap and downvotes, don't care. I see Willie's as one of those places that gets popular, management sees the till is full, so doesn't really care about an unhappy customer or two, screw 'em. I sent a email asking them to address this, got zero response. I don't want a comp, I never ask for one.

I forgot the 18% gratuity added for 6 and over, no problem for me, I usually tip well above that. In this case I may have broken a rule.

Good luck Willie, you can proceed without me.

It was always a middle of the road place in my opinion. Some good meals, some mediocre ones, but I never had anything terrible.

You seem to have awful luck everywhere you go. Either that or you're impossible to please. Maybe it's time to just stay inside.

Actually, for as frequently as we eat out, we have very few bad experiences. About the only time I ever send something back is if it is cold and it's supposed to be hot. Who likes room temp gumbo.

Yeah, I've never really understood the hype for it. I had gone a couple times for lunch and their burgers and poboys were good, but went back for their boiled crawfish and they were just plain terrible, some of the dirtiest grittiest crawfish I've ever had. When I asked if they purged them, the response I got was that purging is just a myth, and that rinsing them is good enough. Strange, because I remember at the original location off Airline, their crawfish were pretty good.

You sure put a lot of effort into tracking my posts, I have a feeling this isn't about restaurant criticism, more likely motivated by my anti-Wokie posts.

You might need to seek gainful employment, you have too much time on your hands.

All you have to do is click on someone's name and look at threads started by the person. It takes 5 minutes.

I imagine Balls noticed the pattern with your username and threads started. I don't see Mr. Balls as particularly "woke", but hell if I know.

You say effort when if it is only two pages of your post history it takes all of a minute to look up. So no it probably didn't take any effort to prove you complain a lot

you do complain a lot, and seem to be high-maintenance when it comes to the service industry. that said, i cant think of a single compelling reason to eat at willie's, and my office is right around the corner

You were sitting 5 feet from the bar and called the restaurant to have someone sent over with the check? I don’t believe you

Sorry, no hair at all. The only time I ask to see the manager or catering manager is to plan banquets. I do several a year and I have an excellent relationship with many restaurant owners and managers. I never asked to be comped, even on rare occasions when the meal is way below standards. I pay for what I ordered, I may not go back, but that is my choice.

My complaint with Willie's was not a rant, I simply told the board exactly what happened and provided visual proof, do what you want with the information.

Booths are terrible and unacceptable in general.

This really made me laugh. I may have to store it for future use when the wait staff disappears.

What'd y'all order?

1. A fried shrimp sandwich. Tiny gumbo sized shrimp, mushy bread. The homemade chips were stale and very tough.

2. The seafood baked potato was just a mess. a lot of cheese, not much seafood, it was barely touched.

3. Fried Ribs. I tried to discourage that order, but covered with a thick batter, "tasted weird", was all I got.

4. Fried softshell crab tacos. She enjoyed this.

5. Hot fried chicken. I think she ate most of it.

6. Broiled salmon. She was OK.

The seafood baked potato and the fried ribs left to go to Walk-ons.
