Nope, definitely been weinerschnitzel for every waking moment of at least the last 30 years.

I wish this place specialized in real Schnitzels instead of hot dogs. I was surprised when I went to Germany at all the different versions there are. A Zigeunerschnitzel (Gypsy Schnitzel) will have to be made soon.

This. Nothing better at 2am than a Pedro's Special with extra sour cream.

We had these yesterday. Is good enough for cheap that I don't want to pay high prices for hotdogs.

The Schnitz on Highland is still there. There were lines out into Highland during the first days of the virus. BONUS: you can now buy their chili in a can at the window. The old special - 2 chili dogs, fry and drink is still on the signboard out front.

I can still taste it all these years later. And that hot sauce in the plastic bottles on the tables.

I'm not familiar with this chain, but let me get this straight...they call themselves Wienerschnitzel, but there's no wienerschnitzel on the menu. Got it...I think.
"Hi, welcome to Burger Palace. Can I take your order?"
"Yeah, I'd like a burger please."
"We don't sell burgers here."

Hopefully they'll deliver on their promise unlike Dat Dog did with 25 posts reportedly opening in Houston.

They probably named it in an era where very few Americans had a clue what wienerschnitzel really was. But Americans had heard the catchy and kind of funny term on TV, and they associated wieners with hot dogs.
When I went there in the 80s, I could not have told you what wienerschnitzel was; I probably thought it was German for hot dog.

WTF Nick. Why are you bringing Wienerschnitzel and not Whataburger to LC?
