McDonald’s is almost as expensive as Texas Roadhouse while tasting like absolute garbage.

Thank you! People get annoyed when I don’t want to go out to Swagat (Indian) or Vietnamese. They don’t have alcohol!

This is a silly premise.

There is a place for the occasional Roadhouse or OG trip, especially for a family with kids.

And they’re both miles better than freaking McDonalds

Because my 11 year old niece lives Olive Garden. So, we take her there for dinner sometimes.

And occasionally it’s nice to have someone else cook and clean the kitchen.

Well there are 349,000 chain restaurants in the US so there must be a good reason.

They're certainly not my first choices of restaurants, but everything has a time and a place. And honestly, most of the time I eat at one of those places, I usually end up thinking "that was actually pretty decent for my expectations going in." Is it the French Laundry? No, but there's a reason they're called casual sit down restaurants.

Texas Roadhouse definitely does have their shite together. I’m pretty sure the key is their limited hours and abundance of staff.

And many of those are locally owned. That being said, many chains are not as bad as people want to make them out to be

Because of the 20 oz bone-in ribeye and the endless breadsticks!

You've obviously never had a good cinnamon butter roll with a cold beer.

$15 for a shitty burger/fries or $20 for a better (not Michelin stars better) meal at a sit down restaurant. This begs the question of why people even go to fast food anymore? It's basically the same price as Roadhouse, and at Roadhouse you get a way better burger

that's why Chili's is making a comeback now. Their ads directly attack BK and McDonalds. Why pay for a crappy product when you can pay just about the same price and get a much better product?

Fast food is overpriced

had to spend a bunch of time with my elderly in-laws this past year in Virginia, they like a lot of people are most comfortable eating at chains. The roadhouse is pretty damn good and runs like a sewing machine. I’ve never seen such efficiency in action at a restaurant. Plus the beer is COLD

I've only ever eaten at the one in Lafayette and it's one of the best-run restaurants I've ever seen. Place runs like a top - staff are all excellent and well-trained
