You can drive by and never know you past a restaurant. Can you say inconspicuous? What were they thinking? JFC.
So my idea is either change the look, tear it down or turn it into an office building, because that's what it looks like.

I think if you did so type of retro look with the outside bottom floor to make it stand out it might work...
Not sure how the electric depot makes it further down govt street...
Overall this was just bad timing to open a new restuarant concept of any kind...

A good idea doesn’t always mean a good business idea. What really threw it off for me was the lack of parking.

It opened in May of 2018 in the middle of a booming economy. Not to mention, it’s located in a high traffic location that is the focus of development. Not sure what you’re referring to.

I get a kick out of people in Baton Rouge who complain about lack of parking.

The developers / funders on this thing just have taken a serious bath. Didn’t they build it from ground up?

A lot of people complain about Mid City Beer Garden parking, but there’s residential streets a block over and several apartment complexes with empty lots across the street on Steel.
Always find it a strange complaint unless you’re handicapped or something.

I don’t live in walking distance and I have decided not to go multiple times after circling the neighborhood and failing to find a spot where I wouldn’t risk getting towed. I have avoided going to several places due to having trouble finding parking. Chimes, Parrain’s, White Star, and Mid City Beer Garden being chief among those. While uber has made those issues less prescient, if I’m already in my car and can’t find a spot, I’m not going home and then paying for an uber to go there, I’m going somewhere else.

No towing on any of the residential streets a block to the left or right. Sometimes I park on the one on the other side of the gas station, even. Also no towing at the apartments across the street on Steel. Friends live there so I always park there.
For overpass, I always park behind CYP when I can’t find parking. Or on a residential street.
I mean, the parking is there. People just think more than a hundred yards is far. The other poster is right. People park half a mile/a mile away in other cities.
Chimes - As long as it isn’t during the school day, there’s tons of parking at LSU.
Fair Not an issue I struggle with.

The issue is that in Baton Rouge, struggling to find close convenient parking is not the norm, it’s the outlier. People expect to be able to park where they’re going, and 99% of places they go allow this. Places that lack convenient parking have a strike against them that most competing establishments in town don’t.

lack of parking, and the stuff inside wasn't that great
