Sorry my post triggered so many.
The question had nothing to do with being insensitive or predatory. It had to do with showing that historically NoLA isn’t a place one should give up on so quickly. ...
New Orleans investment opportunities
Posted by remax_joe on 8/31/21 at 12:34 pm
Investors who bought real estate in NoLA right after Katrina have done (for the most part) extremely well.
After this Ida debacle, do you think this presents another good opportunity to invest in New Orleans, as it always seems to bounce back?
Or is this time different?...

Political bias aside, I just can't visit their website anymore.
Only content is:
Shootings
COVID
Flooding
Someone gets indicted.
Just all around depressing, not to mention the entire website is overrun with pop up banner ads....
re: Southeast City with most upside?

Charlotte seems to have more room in front of it. Great airport, financial hub and pulls lots of highly educated people in from Research Triangle area.
From what I’ve been told, Greenville feels like a very nice Charlotte suburb that is growing fast.
Jacksonville has the water and tax clima...

They are drawn to the midtown area because of its charm and walkability. Coming from NoLA they are used to crime and awful streets.
I did see this Landings area seems like massive gated community with every amenity possible, good for young families as well....

Sister & her husband have opportunity to leave decrepit ol' New Orleans for a job offer he has in Savannah, GA.
They make a nice living (I.e. private school for the kids) but otherwise have no connections to the city.

Ascension Parish drainage / Dumpster fire
