JD special reserve rye is so damn good. 133 proof and it’s so smooth!

A lot going on, in a good way. I picked up tobacco on the nose and a good bit of oak on the palate initially. Subsequent sips have featured some vanilla, a little honey, and a bit of spice. I'm getting some mint on the nose too.

I have primarily been drinking barrel proofs over the last month or two so this is a really good change of pace. It's only 90 proof and really easy to sip. The complexity keeps me from wanting to drink it too quickly though.

I'm a little surprised this one isn't getting more love.

No kidding about the jd sr rye. It's incredible. I like their single barrel select, but that rye is just on another level.

That cannata's barrell sp reminds me of EC A121 with the fruit forward nose and palate and LB Ch.4 with the cinnamon finish (although not as pronounced). The mouthfeel is on the same level as the EC and Larceny BP's. Great bottle. I'm going to have to grab a backup.

Is the pineapple very pronounced in that plantation? I’ve got their 20th anniversary and the Guatemalan one. Been eyeing the pineapple one, just haven’t pulled the trigger.
