Glad to hear it! I'll send some congratulatory samples your way in the near future.

Comparing it to Willett isn't going to help my wallet.

Epic,

How did everything go? I hope Mom and baby are doing well!

Interested in hearing your thoughts on the BT/WT barrel. A local group had a connection for one through river roots but it was more expensive than RR15 (retail) so I reluctantly passed.

Speaking of 4R, this just dropped last week. I'll never pass on a 4R pick and they have been easier to find lately (several Nola stores and oak point dropped barrels last year close to the same time).

They have actually expanded their recipes by adding two mashbills. One is ridiculously high rye (43%) and the other is 85% corn. That gives them twenty recipes. I have yet to see any of the new ones though.

It's nice they're finally rolling out different recipes with the standard sibs. Those are easy to recommend if you haven't tried the recipes. It took me several years to collect all ten recipes (not going for 20), in part because nine recipes could only be found in private selections.

Happy new year gentlemen. It's been a bit since I checked in. Can't reach for the Sagamore DO without thinking of this board.

Good evening gentlemen. Repeal day is worth celebrating.

Good evening gentlemen. Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving.

It's hard to beat the JD for the price. It makes a killer cocktail as well.

This one won't win any value awards, but I have a hard time turning down ryes, especially unique ones. I was able to sample immaculata and the maple, in addition to this. To me, this was the clear winner.

Good evening gentlemen. That WT 70th is a really good value.

Going with a cocktail tonight.

I forgot about this one. Found it buried in a cabinet.

I second the JD BP rye suggestion. It's fantastic in a Manhattan or old fashioned and enjoyable neat too. You won't regret buying either though.

Epic, the Willett is on profile. Dough, plenty of cinnamon, and maple. I think it's better than last year's release. I'll be doing a blind this week to see how it stacks up with the others I've got. At the price point, I wouldn't recommend it to anyone except willett fans. The value isn't there given all of the competition. However, I don't regret the purchase. I'm just a sucker for their products.

Good evening gentlemen. Didn't think it'd take two months, but a win (especially against falcons) is worth a pour.

Good evening gentlemen. Just checking in with a cocktail.

Good to have confirmation! I'd be ordering right now if not for the WU drop. Just got that this morning. It's also an OG mash.

Yep, the price is the same as earlier this year. In retrospect I'm glad I didn't buy the lower proof release. No way I'd be getting a second this soon with that price point.

On a somewhat related note, I saw there's a new premier drams bourbon at 113 proof through seelbachs for 200. That's the highest proof I've seen so far. The rye is like 102-103.

To answer my own Willett question, there's an 11 year, 134 proof bourbon. The rye is an 11 year as well, but I'm not sure of the proof.

Retail prices on Willett are pretty ridiculous, but I'll have a hard time passing up the opportunity if it arises.
Anyone know the details of the latest Louisiana Willett release? I heard there's an 11 year rye, but nothing on the bourbon.
Good evening gentlemen. Just checking in with an ounce of a really interesting project involving Barrell. Whiskies from TN,KY, IN, Canada, and Scotland are in the blend, ranging from 17 to 22 years with an ice wine finish. This is part three in the series (didn't try either of the others).

Congrats to both of you on your impending bundles of joy/sleep wreckers!

I had a sample of this a few months back and decided I needed one. The youth is obvious, but it has so much potential. Cola, barrel char, red hots.
