I've only been in LBC for a few months. Seems like they get some interesting picks but I haven't had any yet.
River ridge discount, Dorignac's, and Zuppardo's were all great stops. Hit a few places along the drive as well, and ended up with several store picks. Thanks again for everyone's suggestions!

The LBC admins sold out lock, stock and barrel to Rouses about the time Total Wine opened in New Orleans. They booted a bunch of the BR contingent a couple of weeks ago for us throwing shade at all their “lucky” finds, as Donny trickles out a few bottles from his decade long hoarding of every allocated bottle coming to his 70 stores. Then they are turning around a flipping the bottles that they “found”. Smh

The admins sit on Rouses whiskey board now. They will soon be doing the barrel picks for Rouses and advising them on how to reach out to the bourbon community in the new Total Wine world.
If there are side benefits or kickbacks...I dont know. It wouldn't shock me though.

Sucks when you see so many sell out to Rouse’s. Money talks, you know the saying. LBC had a great thing going but it got to their heads from what I’ve noticed.

Agreed. Sad what it’s become. I’ll take this thread over that group every day of the week. For one, TA picks > LBC picks IMO
