That bottle is a love/hate bottle. There is no in between. You will rarely find someone who says “it’s ok”. It’s either turpentine dog crap or absolutely delicious. Lol. For the record I really like it. It has a unique flavor that I am a fan of. So basically you got a 50/50 shot of whoever you gave it to liking it. They will either think you got a great bottle for them or that you personally hate them. Hahahaha.

Funny story- a new liquor store opened up around the corner from me. I went in the day they opened to talk to them and see what they were going to be stocking.
There was a bottle of the whistlepig 12y on the shelf behind the counter. I asked the young lady what they were charging for it. She looked at a guy that was stocking the shelves. He told her $65. Obviously, I bought it.
Went back in a few times since then. On one trip, I was looking on the shelves and mixed in with all the other bourbons, was a bottle of the 15yr. I picked it up and went to the counter. Same girl (I think) rang me up- $65.
