Store here in KC has a knob creek single barrel picked by Fred Noe for the store. 120 proof. $49. Seems like a good deal. Any of you had knob barrel picks?

I was just reading up on these and why they are better, and I think you are right that this is my issue. I've read that once you breathe in the ethanol then it tricks your palate into mainly tasting that ethanol. I think I will grab me a set of glencairns. I usually pour into my rocks glass and let sit for 10 mins. Last night I didn't, so that ethanol flooded my senses when I went to breathe it in.
