It’s worth getting. The charcoal filtering gives it a slight BBQ taste that is very nice.

Wow. Barbecue. That’s interesting. Think I’ll try the 8yr before I spend the extra $$ for the 12yr.

Gonna be a rye kinda night. Might even pop open the rare breed rye if I make it that far.

1PD: This pick ranks near the very top of 107 picks I have had.

Have not tried that one. My favorite was probably a barrel pick from Chuck’s Liquor in Bowling Green Ky. Probably around 2014.

On a side note you did well with your pick of Eagle Rare and I would also like to thank t00f for hooking me up.

My number one so far is Liquor Depot 2013/14. Orange peel bomb...it was superb.

I got some old jamie Farris and chris gasparros hiding in my cabinet that I hear are exceptional, but they are still sealed for now.

Is it just me or does a simple bottle of George Dickel 8 and the 12 year taste spectacular? Even a 5th of off the shelf Dickel. It's really good but maybe it's just my buds. I'm finding it hard to spend more money for the satisfaction. Anyone?

Dickel 12 is my go to for mixers. The barrel select and bottled in bond are great slippers.

I also keep Dickel on hand. They have a 17 year that is pretty good also.
