Yeah but the Galley is in a whole different level of prices being out of line

They were certainly a trendsetter in this regard.

It’s been years since I’ve been there. Can’t imagine what it’s like now.

The Galley's prices were inflated when there was low inflation.

Can't imagine what its like now

It’s actually pretty good for that old time Italian/nola kind of place. We take our parents there a couple of times a year.

Not a seafood-only spot, but I still go to Joey K's on Magazine every few months and I think they still have all you can eat catfish on Fridays.

It's one of those places that you can't realize what a treasure it was until it is no more.

To, just once more, be able to sit on that old wrap around screened porch and eat a tray of boiled crabs over Lake Pontchartrain.

Yep.
Man I miss that and even the places on the lake at West End. Used to ride my bike out to that area and play volleyball and then drink/eat.
Sunday evenings in the summer were awesome out there.

Pascal’s Manale is my recent fave. Might be more of a dress-casual spot though.
ETA: misread the OP as Italian spot, so please disregard. But I did have a good shrimp pasta dish last time I was there.
