Eat your weight in hush puppies then order the Chef's Triple Combo or one of the au gratin dishes.

People give Drusilla shite because the clientele is old. But there's nothing wrong with the food.

Sure, if you accept a complete lack of seasoning, flavor or creativity.

it was good about 30 years ago. I went a few years ago and it was really bad.

It’s bland. But intentionally so because:

the clientele is old.

There is also a ton of fried food on their menu (prob 80% of the menu is something fried). Most of it is also bland, but it’s edible. And they at least use real catfish.

The fried seafood is very good. I think it’s one of the most underrated places in BR. It’s hard to beat the variety of items on their seafood platters.

It does feel like a nursing home

Nothing, go somewhere else. The hushpuppies are the only good thing (they’re amazing though)

Definitely don’t get their crab claws. Awful

Holy crap...we definitely have different expectations of fried seafood. It is terrible. The place is a dump also.

I went last week for the first time and it was not good at all. Everything just seemed microwaved.

I haven’t been in 35 years except to the spring luncheon but they used to have a chilled seafood platter that me and my buddies still talk about. Damn good back then.

I didn’t mind the seafood platter I had from them last year.

I quit a club I belonged to because they had their meeting at Drusilla. I'm not going to say the customers are old, but they don't have servers, they have pallbearers.

I got food poisoning from Drusilla like 15 yrs ago off stuffed crab. I couldn't stop puking and shitting at the same time for like 10 hrs. Was staying with my sister since I don't live in LA which made it even worse.

I love seafood, but I'd stop eating it if I had to go back to Drusilla. Never ever ever.

I used to go there while traveling BR but it was prolly 20 years ago. I loved their broiled fish, snapper, trout and redfish. I wish I had a couple of those metal plates they cooked it on. The trout special was a crispy fried Trout with cheese sauce, great!

The AYCE boiled shrimp special used to be really good. We haven’t been in 15 years so not sure about it now.
