What are your favorite brewery to visit?

So not just beer but the atmosphere and experience as well? Should be a good sports /live music / food vibe too.

Hill Farmstead. Best views you could ask for and a chill atmosphere. That’s out of state.
In state I’d give it to Harpoon. Not the best beer in the state by any stretch but good beer, cool atmosphere, and their homemade pretzels alone are worth the visit.

The best was Anchor Brewery in San Francisco. You’ve got to make your reservation months in advance. I tried multiple times with no success, even when trying a month in advance. One time I just showed up to see if they’d let me take the tour. I’m not a big guy. I told them I’d stand in the back and wouldn’t ask any questions. Nope. They refused me.
Then I told that story at a party where one of their brewers happened to be attending. He told me to contact him the next time I was in town and he’d give me a private tour. As it turned out, a roommate and I came out for a concert and we had extra tickets that he and a friend could use and we got a private tour and hooked them up with tickets so it all worked out nicely. The most memorable part was the room where they stored the hops. I never knew what flavor the hops contributed to the beer until I stepped in that room. That’s a very distinctive aroma and I recognized it as Anchor Steam beer immediately. And it looked like big bales of pot.
They have a bar where you can sample their different varieties of beer, and buy a t-shirt. It’s not a place to watch a game. You don’t have to take the tour to go there. There’s a shelf that lines the wall that displays every one of their Anchor Christmas Ale bottles which have a different label every year.

I don't think they get enough credit for spearheading the American "craft" beer movement, but I would suggest they did as much as Sierra Nevada or Sam Adams (who are usually pointed to as the principle brewers responsible for it). Maybe it has more to do with taking over an existing old label, but they were clearly the first people to start turning out interesting American beer in the later part of the 20th century.
Anchor Steam is still such a damn good beer to me.

I’d say Flying Heart in Bossier. I know their beer isn’t the best, but they have a few that are pretty good. It’s the atmosphere, the location, plus I know the owners. One is a lodge brother.
They’re always spearheading events in downtown Bossier. Just a cool vibe. I’m there twice a week usually.
Besides that, Straight to Ale in Huntsville, AL. The beer is delicious. It’s in an old middle school gym and it’s just pretty awesome. The food is more upscale Tex-Mex. Cool place. I go there every time I go to Huntsville.
Great Raft and Parish have amazing beer, but their tap rooms are pretty unremarkable.
