Good crab dishes outside of boiled crabs are difficult to find where I live

I'm envisioning some huge crab platter with au gratin, claws, etc

Crabmeat Maison at Galatoire's.

This is their version of crabmeat ravigote. I get it on the goutte appetizer plate along with shrimp remalaude and a couple of other seafood options.

EDIT to add the runner up - The crab claws appetizer at Impastato's. I could make a meal out of the Italian bread dipped in the sauce.

The hardshell fried crabs at Marjies are great. My favorite softshell is the smoked at Clancy's.

Friend,

Listing anything Andrea's in a top 10 food list in New Orleans invalidates your list.

I’m an au gratin fan. Bon Ton was so good, but it’s no longer. Galatoire’s au gratin is well worth it. I had a hard time not ordering my usual meal, but I’ve now gone au gratin on my two visits.

Yes to both of these. If I had to pick just one, it would be Clancy's.

I lived in DC for a bit and his crab cakes are better than anything I had in Baltimore (they claim to be the crab cake Mecca)

Not really a dish, but the corn and crab bisque at Vincent's is always solid.
