Maybe the idiot that just spent $67 for the same product.

But I guess that has no bearing on your thinking.

It's been about a year since I've bought lump crab meat but it was about 50 dollars a pound most places I've seen

You're not going to find it cheap that's for sure

I believe it was Zuppardo's that had lump crab meat for $10.99

67/lb is still crazy but you can not compare lump to jumbo lump

And not the point of this thread but anybody looking for some BJ seafood in Hammond has fresh ( not pasteurized) gulf (domestic) jumbo lump for $35/lb, bout as good as you can get it currently retail

Who said anything about buying? We’re talking about seeing things in stores. You should read more carefully.

Dog food.

A few years ago you could get your dog a higher quality dog food and, while it cost more, it wasn’t ridiculous.

Seems like they’ve doubled in price in the last few years.

What part of I was simply pointing out that there are times things go on sale and you can use those sales to avoid the typically higher prices for products don't you understand.

If you're too dumb to see that, then I have no need to continue this discussion.

I understand that. It’s a complete non sequitur to the discussion at hand.

This coming from the guy who clearly has a reading comprehension problem. Did you say this with a straight face?

It's because I'm addicted. I dunno at what price point that they would price me out

Don't tell them we said this

If you are one of the 200,000,000 Americans with a Dollar General close by you there is a hack:

Just about every week they have 12 packs from one of the major umbrella brands on sale for 3 for $15. This rotates regularly. They often have a digital coupon you can get $2 or $3 off of 3 also. On Saturdays, they have $5 off a $25 or more purchase digital coupons. So you can buy six 12 packs for $30, use the 2-3 dollar off coupon and the $5 off coupon and get 3 cases for $22 or $23 which ends up less than pre-COVID case prices at Walmart.

That's crazy for crab meat. I can get 3 lbs of King crab legs for $60 at a local butcher shop.

Crabmeat prices also vary due to time of year. We got fresh beautiful jumbo lump several weeks ago for about $38 a pound. It was $50 during the Summer.

Retailers are jacking up prices now every time you turn around because consumers are “used to inflation”. They are taking advantage of folks. It’s not purely inflation to blame at this point.

Had the Publix Deli slice me up some thick cut beef bologna from Boars Head. When I got home and was unpacking everything I noticed the price on the bologna. $9.50/lb.

Someone is making a killing on the prices that COVID caused to go through roof but lo and behold they never came down after COVID proved to mostly be a hoax. Where are the progressives to question the profit margins of the woke corporations who are making windfall profits off of consumers despite COVID being over .
