My husband hates soup, so out of boredom he was given a soup challenge. So we will see what he comes up with.

I think I'm about to throw some skillet cornbread into the oven and pull out a couple of packs of red beans and rice from the freezer.

Haven’t had any fried foods in a year. Thought I’d treat myself. Won’t happen again for a while but it sure made me happy. :) Catfish, shrimp, home cut fries and a simple slaw. Also had fried crab claws but missed taking a picture.

Last of my sack of oysters. Chargrilled about 2 dozen and had a dozen raw. Homemade boudin, pulled pork and slaw.

FYI- The Warehouse will sell you a sack for $48. Almost $20/ sack cheaper that Cpt. Avery’s. They’re good too

Tried to do sous vide mashed potatoes but I didn’t get the water up to temp before dropping them in...so they were not ready in time.

Home ground brisket burgers for hamburger steak. Delish

Went to the grocery store to get some hotdogs and burgers...go to check out and the cashier said “Sir only one bread item”. After thinking for damn near 30 seconds I went with the hamburger buns. The entire ride home I questioned my decision and whether it was the right decision.

So I’m eating a hamburger

frick the scumbags hoarding bread products.

That fried seafood is making my mouth water. We have an abundance of fresh seafood up here, but nobody fries it. I want fried shrimp so badly.
