Walked out of Pinettas Last night

I've had some bad experiences there before, but the red sauce always keeps me coming back. Anyways, a friend and I went to Pinettas last night. We sat at the door for at least 10 minutes waiting to be seated. Finally got seated, got some waters. We than sat there for 20 minutes while unsuccessfully trying to get a drink/app order in. The tables around us were also having problems, so I made the call to just walk out.
There was one server for the entire restaurant. It was not her fault in anyway for the service, she was obviously overwhelmed with tables. What did aggravate me, was the owner was just chilling behind the bar the whole time while the server ran around like a chicken with its head cut off. The owner didn't help with anything. She wasn't taking drink orders, she wasn't helping bringing food out, she wasn't seating people that were waiting at the door (There were 3 groups waiting for a table when we left). I get it that staff is hard to find right now, but when times get tough, the owner should be willing to help out the one girl that showed up to work.

I agree about the owner. I know if it was my business and help was hard to find I'd certainly jump in to try to keep my customers happy.
Owner sounds privileged and lazy to boot, and that is an attitude I have a hard time understanding.
I for one will be glad when all this money to sit home on their asses is cut off and they get back to work.
What we have now is the biggest "Welfare State" our country has ever been in as far as I can see.
ETA: Well, I guess my 5 downvoters are the stay at home sitting on their asses getting that "gubmint money".

More roaches for me.
Actually I walked out circa 1988.

If you've ever had the privilege of talking to her, you would realize she's a complete kook.

She was in the best spot she could have been in. Trust me, you do not want that lady helping with anything. She's a crazy c*nt

Probably part of the reason why they're short staffed.

We ended up going to get sushi because that was what we were debating eating before choosing Pinettas.
Halfway to the sushi restaurant, a part of me wanted to go back and just tip the waitress for working her butt off. She was power walking the whole restaurant while we were there. I didn't want to take away from possible tips she could've earned, but I also didn't want to spend 3 hours at dinner.

TIL Pinetta's still exists. That place should have closed a long time ago.

Had a couple of interactions with her and she was awful. Sadly, can't imagine ever going back.

One of the most overrated places in BR. Place grosses me out. Last time I was in there the dust was caked up on the items hanging on the walls.

I started to go last night, but the parking lot was PACKED. Ended up at Building 5. Beautiful place, food was good,

Pinettas is easily the most polarizing restaurant in BR. Some people can’t stand the thought of going there and some people swear by it.
It’s still kicking though.

Is there a longer continuously operating place in BR?

I like the red sauce, but I'll never go back.
It saddens me because it was my mom and late dad's date spot only 2nd to LaFonda's (90's)

Without the red sauce, they would never survive.

I see some restaurants are still doing the thing where they stick a random number in the name.

Don’t blame you. I will not go back.

Yall crazy. Pinettas is my favorite place in town. I go in with the expectation of slow service. It makes the wife and I take our time and have a good long date night. We've been there for 2-3 hours before. Still go back all the time. The food is just that good
