I ordered sunny side up eggs at an IHOP once and they looked at me like I was nuts. They don't have real eggs! Only batter. Yuck!

I'm a fan of Waffle House, but the ones in South Louisiana always find a way to dick up your order. We took a road trip last year from here to Asheville -- ate at Waffle House multiple times along the way and they got everything right.

absolutely.
WH gets hammered on other boards here, but I've always enjoyed it as long as it wasn't too crowded with drunks.
A problem easily dealt with by not eating there between 11P-4A.

They put them in a circular ring normally. Scattered is when they just throw them in a pile on the griddle. You get more crust when you order scattered.

As an avid Waffle House fan, it gets hate because they are generally dirty. It doesn't bother me, but I've always understood the hate.

Like you, it doesn’t bother me. I’ve eaten some great food in nasty restaurants, truck stops, convenience stores, food trucks, and hunting camps where the food sat on the stove all night. Never had an issue.
Had some incredible meals tho

If you don't get your hashbrowns topped, you aren't doing it right.
Also, their casa de waffle salsa is legit. Nice change of pace to mix in with my eggs and every once in a while.
