I'll be honest. I didn't get it. My buddies were head over heals for the bologna sandwich. Why would anybody get excited over that?
Well, last night I went to their TrashTiki event. We got there and the line was out the door. The main guy brought out beers/water for people in line, which was nice.
The plates were 5$ and they came with 3 wings, kale salad, siracha potato salad, and a roll that I can only describe as something that reminded me of elementary school when they made them in house.
Everything was fantastic. I mean really, really good. The sides were the best things on the plate.
I look forward to going back in the future. They really have a cool thing going on over there.

I love a bologna sandwich on the boat when I’m chasing reds and specks around Larose.
When I’m in the city, that’s a hard pass. Glad others enjoy the place though.

Weren't they the ring leaders of the "bake sale for abortions" event? Think i'll pass on ever going there.

I’d imagine majority of restraunteurs and chefs are left leaning, so if that’s the hill you want to die on then I suggest not going out to eat anymore.

Jesus tap dancing Christ. If a man wants to choose not to eat at a place bc of the owners beliefs, that’s on him. There are plenty of places to eat in this town.
The “get in line mentality” of some posters is truly amazing. I hope you have a wonderful day, comrade.

Its a fancy (not the place, the food)/ hipster subway.
If it was named bobs sandwich shop it would have closed by now.
The new blood of nola is told what is good by the in crowd so it must be good.
Also the jewish deli one block up magazine has 10x better sandwiches

No I agree. Was just pointing out that if ones goal is to avoid lining the pockets of liberals, then be prepared to basically not spend money on anything.

I dont care what people say. T&w makes absolutely fantastic food.
I went last week and had the Pork and Peppers on roti bread and it was unbelievable. The pot pie was crazy good as well.
I’m convinced people here just hate them because of their obnoxious social media. Because they put out great food.

bullshite, Turkey and the Wolf is legit good food. Annoying social media and kinda douchey, but the food is worth it.

Big difference between leaning left and officially sanctioning abortion with your business. I don't care what any of these people believe, but the moment they politicize their business is when I start forming opinions one way or the other.

And easily 50% of them participated in the bake sale.
