I agree with Kartchner’s being the best on your list, but T-Boy’s and Bourque’s seem to have been overlooked.
Not to mention riverside in plaquemine threw down a gauntlet a few years ago that no one has been able to pick up

Friend,
You don't enjoy the offerings from Shank and Piece of Meat?

Kartchner's for the win. Agree 100%.

Yes, Best Stop is Top 10, but I've got no argument with Kartchner's at #1. Just pulled some of their boudin out of the freezer last weekend...

Friends,
ellishughtiger, it was not fancy nor the classiest of receptions. I believe receptions are best when they are held in church halls or the Audubon Tea Room, but the Mulatte's wedding of 1993, hosted by a neighbor, sure was a fun evening.
littlemouse, I am no artist, but I can color as well as anyone here. If you challenge me, I shall accept. Mother tells me I am an excellent cartographer, as I can draw nearly any map from memory, as I did with the above map of the state of Louisiana.
Brtigerfan, I must try your T-Boy's and Bourque's suggestions next time. Might you host us? We shall bring you some Christmas ornaments as a house gift.
TroutBandit, as always I accept your suggestions. My list is by no means definitive, and I shall take your words to heart and try your swains.
Jake88, although I thought Billy's was good, in comparison to the others, its boudin was less good. I found the link filling to be humid, as though the chef had overcooked the rice. The fried ball contained too much batter. Even though I enjoyed the batter, I feel like its creator was enamored by it. Sometimes too much of a good thing moves from good to excessive, and such was the case with the Popeye's fried chicken batter on an already nicely seasoned boudin. I do believe that, like sno-ball stands, some people become so territorial and protective of their boudin stands that they are unable to taste objectively. I have no memories or loyalties to any of these boudin stands except those held by my tongue in the last month. We can brabble all day about this topic, but the only way to solve this disagreement is to peregrinate between these stands together and then discuss our findings.
greatboudini, the picture reminds me of those porcelain eyes and nose some people attach to large trees, humanizing the trunk of something others assume is inanimate. I often chuckle when I see those tree faces.
Rando, next time, please be sure to meet us at one of the stands and then we could go to Riverside together. Perhaps we could pick up Oweo to join us. I promise not to groak as we eat.
tigercross, I despise Piece of Meat. I will never give my patronage to those scapegraces.
Yours,
TulaneLSU

Thanks for the list. Leroy’s in Ville Platte and Johnson’s in Lafayette are my favorite. Outside of Acadiana, Ronnie’s in Hammond is ok.

What’s the story here, friend? I’d like to know why I should stop giving them my custom.
Also, please do not allow such thoughts to occupy your heart and mind. Cast them out and allow Christ to fill the vacancy.

Friend,
Don's is not better than Hebert's and Billy's. My travels have brought me through these towns alot and I have had the pleasure of stopping at all of these multiple times. Billy's is better than hebert's and hebert's is better than Don's, respectfully.
Yours,
Lonestar

You and Mother are welcome in my home, but it is not in Acadiana. We reside in the hills of the Felicianas. If you plan to visit here, we would gladly host you and perhaps we could take in the ballet in Woodville, MS. I hear its very popular this time of year.

Well then give Billy's another chance. I did a tour over a few trips to the Lafayette area and my top three are Billy's, Nunu's and Billeaud's. I must have caught Kartchner's on a bad day because, while still tasty, it didn't have enough green onion and I found the rice too firm.
I dont eat the boudin balls as I find them to be obscene. Why fry perfection? The batter can add nothing to a great boudin.
