I have a great deal of respect for British culture and the Queen. But their food is often joked. Some of their food is good.

What are some of your favorite British meals?

Fresh fish and chips
Clotted cream and jam
Tikka chicken masala
Beefeater gin (what my old man drank, so he'd sneak it to me)

I like shepherds pie, minus green peas. We’ve done our best attempts over the years and it gets eaten, but definitely not what comes out of the oven over there.

Looks good, and way beyond my patience level, especially with a house full of people and dogs.

I can definitely tweak it to make them better. Thinking about giving them another shot soon for a college football Saturday morning.

The good thing is that you can make them in advance and fry when ready.

Anything on the menu at Rules, the oldest (and my favorite) restaurant in London, where I'm sure she has been a time or two.

(Guinness) Steak N Ale Pie on a cold, windy day, in a warm pub that smells like stained beer and 18th century wood.

Panton Arms was my local for 8 years.
