The men all cook!

My wife belongs to a lot of women's groups, they had a new lady join one of her books clubs. She and her husband moved here about 3 months ago from Ithica, NY, they were asking her how she liked Baton Rouge. The first thing out of her mouth was, "I love it, the men all cook here. My husband has never touched a pot in his life. Now the guys he plays golf with keep giving him recipes, he made shrimp fettucine last night".
We have a lot of problems, crime is the worst, but we do have some redeeming qualities.

I love to eat, therefore I figured out how to cook things. I can't understand really liking food but leaving it all up to others to get it.

Louisiana people take it for granted but in other states, men don’t cook. It’s definitely a cultural strength here

When I met my wife and we were just dating she would make dinner for me. Then after a few of those I made dinner for her. She was like WTF? She stopped cooking for me and it became my job.

Yeah, it's a Louisiana thing. I cook 90% of our meals and enjoy doing it. Wife makes the best tossed salad so she adds that every night. God bless her!

Yes, same in Alabama. All my friends and family the husband is the main cook.
My wife actually asked me to help her learn to cook, so I did. Now we have a rule, she cooks inside, I cook outside. Depending on how much I want to cook is how much stuff I'll tote outside and throw on a burner or grill

Don't frick around on your wife (or her on you) and you should have nothing to worry about. Stay out of BR and NO takes care of the crime issue. At least here they aren't trying to teach your kid that they are really Trans (not yet anyway). I agree with you that the roads do suck, but I work 10 minutes from home.

My dad was always the primary cook in our house growing up, so he taught me a pretty good bit. I worked as a line cook in college, so that’s where I gained the majority of my knowledge. Now I am the primary cook in our house. My kids are 7 and 4 currently, and my 7 year old loves to help me in the kitchen.

I grew up in the family restaurants and several members of my family are chefs. My family is really the last place I've ever had women cook for me around here. All of my relationships I've been the primary cook. Women won't even attempt a recipe.

I remember cooking scrambled eggs around 10-12 years old. I cooked my first duck rice and gravy when I was 14. I remember it well because my dad and uncle were too drunk to cook…… lol!
