It's a pepper sauce, not a "hot sauce."

Louisiana Hot Sauce is king.

Like this??

Same brand, but as I recall it was red colored, in a bottle like Louisiana hot sauce (but a more slender bottle). I'm sure it's still available, I just haven't seen it in my local stores.

Cholula, Crystal, Louisiana, Tapato, Valentina - all better than Tabasco

I'm on the louisiana train currently as my staple hot sauce. Love crystal too, but louisiana is like 1/4th the price.

Tabasco habanero is excellent.

Marie Sharpes is the best mass produced sauce by far though.

Regular tobasco goes well with anything that has roux in my opinion. Gumbo, stew, and etouffee are perfect for tobasco. Outside of that i usually use different hot sauces, but still not cholula.

The flavored tobascos are real good for certain things too. Tobasco Mango Habenro pairs well with pork
Tobasco jalapeno/green pepper pairs well with sides like corn, mac-n-cheese, and other veggies
Tobasco scorpion is pretty good, a lot hotter and a lot less vinegar than the regular.

I wasn't soliciting information on where to purchase the stuff. If I ran across it in the store, I might buy it on a whim, maybe. Don't care enough to make a bulk buy on Amazon, although I have an Amazon Prime account. I initially brought it up responding to someone who liked Caribbean style hot sauce.

You’re right about original Tabasco, but they make some good flavors. Their cayenne garlic and habanero flavors are two of my favorite hot sauces ever. Maybe it’s the Tabasco peppers .
