The entry's so far are amazing! Good job to each and every entry! Can't wait to see who else enters the mushroom cook-off.

Kudos to Powerman. you did very well against this massive talent!

Great job so far everyone. I was actually going to give this one a shot, then realized that I would be the only one eating whatever I made since the wife absolutely hates mushrooms. She says they squeak when she eats them.

I ran out of time to do a detailed recipe with pics, but here is a mushroom dish I did for a dinner we had a while back. It was a Crabmeat Cheesecake topped with a Portobello
and Crab Claw Meuniere.

I haven't had a good beef wellington in years, and that looks perfect. Great job drying out the duxelle, and explaining the presence of the crepes. You definitely knocked that one out of the park!

Thanks Darla. We will make the Mushroom Stew again soon. Want to drop by?

The Galette looks great. I really like them. Meat, Fruit, Vegetable, Mushrooms. All are good to me.

Once again, excellent submissions. Great cooks here!

Sad news here. I haven't had a tater tot in over a year. No rice, french fry, potato chips, bread of any kind, potatoes of any kind, cornbread, either. We have a freezer full to the top with frozen garden vegetables that we haven't touched in a year. I have given up on winning any cook offs, as the competition is very tough now, proving what good cooks the FDB has, so I doubt I will be choosing any future ingredients.

If I did, I might choose Baby Bella Cheeses.

My year long keto diet has been interesting. Not sure when I will quit, but I actually weigh less than the later years of high school, even less than when the Army referred to me as a "Lean, Mean, Killing Machine"

Darla, quick question... When y'all do these challenges is the picked ingredient supposed to be the star of the dish, an important part, or it just has to be in it?

I know it impacts my voting since I'm under the impression it has to be the star or a big part of the dish.

I always took it as just has to be in it. Its not that serious of a comp IMO but I dont make the rules either
