Store Bought Flour Tortillas

What’s everyone’s favorite grocery store - bought flour tortilla? I know in Texas HEB makes some decent ones fresh in store, but in Baton Rouge what’s your go-to?

Store bought are substandard to homemade.
Once you make your own, it's very difficult to eat store bought. They also last a decent amount of time in the fridge (a week). I've never frozen them, but I've read they freeze well.
4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
2 tablespoons lard
1 1/2 cups water
Whisk the flour, salt, and baking powder together in a mixing bowl. Mix in the lard with your fingers until the flour resembles cornmeal. Add the water and mix until the dough comes together; place on a lightly floured surface and knead a few minutes until smooth and elastic. Divide the dough into 24 equal pieces and roll each piece into a ball.
Preheat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Use a well-floured rolling pin to roll a dough ball into a thin, round tortilla. Place into the hot skillet, and cook until bubbly and golden; flip and continue cooking until golden on the other side. Place the cooked tortilla in a tortilla warmer; continue rolling and cooking the remaining dough.
All-Recipes - Flour Tortillas
If you have the time to make them, they are exponentially better than store bought.

Agree but still not worth the effort
Some nice soft Mission are fine for $2

Hola Nola. I find all their products are good. I highly recommend their new salsa verde. I’d try the red beans and rice chips too.

The raw ones in the cooler at your grocery are perfect, plus you don’t have to mix and roll the ingredients. Takes about 45 seconds per tortilla and they are significantly better. Game changer for taco night.
Like the previous poster said, once you cook them yourself at home, there’s no going back.

HEB makes some decent ones
Decent? HEB fresh made tortillas are the GOAT. Little old abuelas cranking em out right before your eyes, picking up that still warm pack and running home to fill em up with anything or nothing.

It depends on the occasion.
Weeknight tacos with immediate family, probably not worth the effort.
If you're trying to wow a group, I think they're worth it.
They also do keep well and can be reheated nicely.

Hola Nola is my fav
Hola Nola makes a low carb version that has been my go-to. It's pretty cheap too, much cheaper than the comparable Mission ones.

All of this. Huge upgrade from Mission. The RB&R chips are life-changing.
I need to try their corn tortillas next.

Every time I go to Texas, I stop at an HEB and buy several packs. They do freeze well, so I can freeze enough to keep me in stock until the next trip.

Negative. Those are garbage.
I'm not advocating anyone make them at home but those are awful.

Same. They’re awesome. They aren’t gummy like Mission carb balance.

Where do you find hola nola?

I’ve gotten them at Calandro’s & Alexander’s. They also sell them at Rouses, Whole Foods, Albertsons, Target, and a few other places. Usually in an end cap or section of their own near the Mexican/international aisle. They have a store finder on the website: LINK
