His travels and language will be missed, that's for sure.

My favorite video of him and the incredible Sean Brock hammered at the waffle house.

Sad news. I do not routinely watch the CNN show, but catch it on occasion. I happened to catch him in Hong Kong (Sunday maybe?) and he had a line in there that really stuck out to me. While being filmed by both his crew and another cinematographer on this scenic canal. He said something to the tune of

"I don't smile very often on this show, but I'm smiling now."

That Eunice episode was the best representation of Cajun culture IMO

Look on the bright side, if you've ever aspired to travel to distant shores, eat exotic food, & chronicle it for other people to watch. All while talking out of the side of your mouth, there's an opening!

& before you downvote,
Tony would appreciate the callous lack of remorse!

This is shocking to me. He seemed really solid and in a good place in recent years. I guess you just never know. Saddens me. I liked his shows a lot

It was just yesterday when I was researching ways to watch recent Parts Unknown online.

A very sad day. I woke up with the realization that the Golden Knights are done and the news of Anthony's passing.

I wonder if the France episode will be completed.

I guess it's better to burn out than fade away...I've heard that somewhere.

I would say RIP Tony, but I actually hope you raise hell

I zoomed. I am at a greater distance from him than it appears.

I think I'm on a streak of reading like 5 or 6 posts and thinking "Good god, this is awful" and looking at the name to see who it was...and it's you! It's uncanny how terrible you are.

Terrible news today. I feel awful for Eric Ripert whose life is also irrevocably damaged. Le Bernardin is the best meal I’ve ever eaten and I hope he can continue his success there.

For sure. You can't ever be the same after that.

Just really, really awful for him.

I used to idolize him. Loved his prose. He was dead to me long before this, however. What a disgrace

Did he hurt your feelings about something political?

This has affected me more than a celebrity death should. I read his books and watched every episode of every show he made. I alternate between sad and mad.

I feel so sorry for his daughter.

Tough celebrity death. Genuinely enjoyed his work. I read his books and watched his shows. When I went on my honeymoon, the first thing I did after I booked the flights to Rome was to go watch Bourdain's episodes to get some ideas for food.

Hopefully he's resting easy now, and I pray his family can find some peace in the outpouring of public support.
